The Tampa Bay Rays and Los Angeles Angels face off on Wednesday in an MLB showdown at Angel Stadium. In the first game of this series it was the Angels that secured the 11-3 victory. In the second game, it was much of the same as the Anges were able to win 12-0.

The Los Angeles Angels come into this game with a 21-11 record overall and over the last two games they have scored 23 runs total. The Angels have won three games in a row. Mike Trout and Anthony Rendon both hit a home run on Tuesday night. The Angels look like they are a problem this season. Mike Trout is having another strong season hitting nine home runs and driving in 19 RBIs.

On the other side of this matchup is the Tampa Bay Rays who sit with an 18-13 record overall but their bats have been ice cold coming into this game. Over the last three games, the Rays have only scored four runs total, and it doesn’t matter how good the pitching is, if the offense doesn’t get anything going this is going to be another long game. Manuel Margot has been the top player for the Rays hitting three home runs and driving in 20 RBIs.

On the mound for the Rays is Shane McClanahan who sits with a 2-2 record and an ERA of 3.06. In his last start against the Mariners he went 5.1 innings giving up three hits and two runs.

On the mound for the Angels is Shohei Ohtani who sits with a 3-2 record and an ERA of 3.08. In his last start against the Red Sox he went seven innings giving up six hits and zero runs.

The Angels are 4-0 in their last four games played on Wednesday. The Rays are 0-4 in McClanahan’s last four Wednesday starts. The under is 4-0-1 in McClanahan's last five starts on grass. The over is 3-0-2 in the Angels last five games during game 3 of a series.

The Angels bats are hot coming into this game including on Tuesday when they were able to score 12 runs. The Angels might not score that many in this game, but they will score enough to win. Ohtani gave up zero runs in his last start, and the Angels will secure the victory here.
