The Phillies looked impressive in the first game of the series, but they couldn’t come back on Tuesday and were defeated by a run. The Phillies currently sit with a 13-17 record overall and every time it looks like they are going to take a step forward, they take a step back like they did on Tuesday. The Phillies' offense has been strong all season, but the pitching has really let them down. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Seattle Mariners who sit with a 14-17 record overall and after a strong start to the season, they have had some issues as of late. The Mariners are averaging 3.93 runs per game while giving up 4.2 runs per game. Ty France has been the top player for the Mariners hitting five home runs and driving in 22 RBIs.
