The Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers face off on Wednesday in an American League MLB showdown at Globe Life Field. In the first game on Tuesday, it was the Rangers that secured the 6-4 victory.

The Texas Rangers sit with a 12-16 record overall but they have won two of their last three games. Earlier in the season, the pitching was awful for the Rangers, but the pitching has pitched better as of late, and maybe they can turn the season around if they continue to have success there. Adolis Garcia has been the top player for the Rangers hitting four home runs and driving in 18 RBIs.

On the other side of this matchup is the Kansas City Royals who sit with a 9-18 record overall and have lost three games in a row. Over the last three games, they have scored only seven runs total, and they need to have better offense in this game. Andrew Benintendi has been the top player for the Royals hitting one home run and driving in 12 RBIs. The hope was the Royals could turn the corner this season but with not enough offensive success it looks like it will at least be another year before they are competitive again.

On the mound for the Texas Rangers is Matt Bush who sits with a 1-1 record and an ERA of 4.09. He has been used out of the bullpen this year and in 11 innings he has given up 11 hits and seven runs.

The Rangers are 4-1 in their last five games during game 2 of a series. The Royals are 1-4 in their last five during Game 2 of a series. The over is 5-1 in the Royals last six games played on Wednesday.
