The Philadelphia Phillies and Miami Marlins face off on Sunday in an MLB showdown at Marlins Park.
The Marlins were able to win the first two games of the series, but on Saturday it was the Phillies that got some revenge winning 10-3.
The Marlins have gotten good pitching for most of the season but on Saturday it really let them down the offense couldn’t make up for it. Jazz Chisholm has been the top player for the Mets hitting two home runs and driving in seven RBI’s. Jesus Sanchez has also hit two home runs and driven in six RBIs’.
On the other side of this matchup is the Phillies who have had an awful season and Saturday’s game was one of the only bright spots. For the most part it’s been the offense that has been an issue all year but on Saturday they scored eight runs in the first two innings and never looked back. Alec Bohm was the top player having two hits and driving in three RBI’s. In this game the Phillies are going to need to get the offense going early, and put the pressure on the Marlins.
Getting the start for the Phillies will be Zack Wheeler and in his first start of the season against the New York Mets he was impressive going 4.2 innings giving up two hits and one run.
On the mound for the Marlins will be Elieser Hernandez and he had some major struggles in the first game against the Angels. He went 4.2 innings giving up five hits and four runs.
The Phillies are 1-5 in their last six road games against a right handed starter. The Marlins are 6-13 in their last 19 games. The under is 5-2 in the last seven meetings. The under is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings in Miami.
The Phillies' offense broke out on Saturday and I expect they are going to continue the success in this game. Hernandez wasn’t strong in his first start of the season and the Phillies offense will continue the success in this game. Back the Phillies on the run line.
