The Braves come into this game with a 3-3 record and the bats have a ton of confidence coming into this game. On the other side of this matchup is the Nationals who sit with a 2-4 record overall and they had won two games in a row before losing the last game against the Braves. In the two wins the Nationals scored 15 runs total. Maikel Franco has been the top player for hitting a home run and driving in six RBI’s.

Getting the start for the Nationals will be Josiah Gray and in his first start of the season against the New York Mets he went four innings giving up eight hits and four runs. He also let up a home run.

Getting the start for the Braves will be Max Fried and in his first start of the season against the Cincinnati Reds he went 5.2 innings giving up eight hits and five runs.

These are both pitchers that struggled in the first game and I expect much of the same in this game. Both offenses are going to find offensive success early, and that is going to be the difference as this game goes over the total. I wouldn't be shocked if this was 11-9 type of game, and this should be over by the 5th or 6th inning.
