In Game 1 it was the Atlanta Braves that came away with the 6-2 victory. Kyle Tucker has been the top player for the Astros this postseason hitting four home runs and driving in 15 RBI’s. Yordan Alverez has had a big postseason too hitting two home runs and driving in nine RBI’s.
Eddie Rosario has been the top player this postseason for the Braves hitting three home runs and driving in 11 RBi’s. Freddie Freeman has also had a big postseason hitting three home runs and driving in nine RBI’s.
Jose Uriquidy will get the start for the Astros and he is coming off an awful start whee he went only 1.2 innings giving up five hits and six runs.
Max Fried will get the start for the Braves and he has been strong this season, although he is coming off a bad start. In Fried’s last start against the Los Angeles Dodgers, he went 4.2 innings giving up eight hits and five runs.
The Braves are 8-2 in their last ten playoff games. The Astros are 10-4 in their last 14 playoff games. The Braves are 1-5 in their last six meetings against the Astros. The under is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings. The under is 5-1 in the last six meetings in Houston. The over is 4-1 in the Braves last five games overall. The over is 5-1 in the Astros last six home World Series games.
Both of these teams have strong offenses, and both of the pitchers are coming off terrible starts. I expect both pitchers are going to be chased early, and that is going to lead to a shootout. Back the over to cash.
