Wednesday is a full slate of games and there is plenty of value in terms of MLB prop bets. Let’s take a look at the best MLB props to make your Wednesday a winning one.
Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Pirates over 11.5 runs (+250)
The Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates are going to run up the score in this game. Kyle Hendricks hasn’t been good this season and over his last two starts he has given up 11 runs total. Roansy Contreras is making his first start of his career and there will be some of those early season jitters. Look for the Pirates and Cubs to finish over 12 runs.
Taijuan Walker under 5.5 strikeouts (-120)
Taijuan Walker hasn’t been striking out as many players the last few starts. Two starts ago, Walker had only three strikeouts, and in his last start he only had one strikeout. I don’t think Walker is going to go deep in this game, and he will finish with five strikeouts or less.
Boston Red Sox under 6.5 runs (-135)
The Boston Red Sox are going to score in this game, but six runs is too high. Zac Lowther’s ERA is high, but it’s really only one bad start that has inflated the stats. In his last start against the Texas Rangers, he went five innings giving up three hits and zero runs. I expect the Red Sox will finish with four or five runs, and the under will cash.
Detroit Tigers, Minnesota Twins under 0.5 runs in the first inning (+105)
The Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins didn’t get a run on the board until the third inning on Tuesday, and it’s going to be the case again in this game. Michael Pineda has been good this season, and the Twins bats have been cold coming into this game. Look for the Twins and Tigers to finish under 0.5 runs in the first inning.
