It’s a full slate of games across the MLB on Sunday and that means plenty of money to be made. Let’s take a look at a free MLB pick on each of the games.
Kansas City Royals -104 at Detroit Tigers -104 Total: 9
I will take the home team who has a little advantage on the mound. Wily Peralta has been pitching really well coming into this game. Over his last two starts he has gone 13 innings total giving up zero runs. The Royals bats are going to be ice cold and the Tigers will win this game.
Play: Tigers ML
Pittsburgh Pirates at Philadelphia Phillies
You can tell it’s September because the Pirates continue to give Max Kranick shots on the mound. Over his last three starts he has given up 11 runs, and he hasn’t gone over five innings in any of the games. The Phillies bats are inconsistent, but they can beat up on terrible teams. Back the Phillies on the run line.
Play: Phillies -1.5
Miami Marlins at Tampa Bay Rays
The Rays haven’t been as trustworthy the last few weeks, but they still have the top offense in baseball. In this game, the Rays face off with Jesus Luzardo who currently sits with an ERA of seven. In this game. The Rays bats are going to run up the score, and the Rays will win on the run line.
Play: Rays -1.5
Texas Rangers +112 at Baltimore Orioles -122 Total 8.5
Not often do I lay a number with the Texas Rangers, but this is a perfect spot to do it. On the mound for the Orioles is John Means and over his last three starts he has given up only four runs total. The Orioles will give him run support, and the Orioles will win this game.
Play: Orioles ML
Chicago White Sox -169 at Cleveland Indians +150 Total: 8
The Indians have a ton of value as big underdogs. Triston McKenzie is coming off a terrible start, but in the previous five starts he hadn’t given up more than one run. In four of the last five games the White Sox have scored three runs or less. The White Sox’s bats will be ice cold and the Indians will pull the upset.
Play: Indians ML
Washington Nationals +155 at Cincinnati Reds -170 Total: 9.5
This is a perfect opportunity to take the Washington Nationals who actually have a better record than the Reds over their last ten games. Josh Rogers has limited innings this year, but he has been good. Over his last 12.2 innings pitched he has given up only one run. The Nationals will win a low scoring game.
Play: Nationals ML +155
New York Mets at Milwaukee Brewers
The Brewers are one of my favorite plays on the entire board. Carlos Carrasco has been pitching a little better as of late, but he won’t be getting any run support in this game. The Brewers are going to have win this game on the run line.
Play: Brewers -1.5
Toronto Blue Jays at Minnesota Twins
The Blue Jays have had one of the best offenses in baseball the last month, and their bats are going to tee off in this game. Griffin Jax is coming off a start where he went three innings giving up three runs. This game is going to get ugly quickly.
Play: Blue Jays -1.5
St. Louis Cardinals at Chicago Cubs.
The St. Louis Cardinals have won 14 games in a row and until they lose, I am going to continue to back them. The Cardinals' offense has been elite, and they scored eight runs again on Saturday. It doesn’t matter who is starting for the opposing team, the Cardinals are going to run up the score on them. Back the Cardinals.
Play: Cardinals ML
San Francisco Giants -175 at Colorado Rockies +155 Total: 11.5
This total is too low. Kevin Gausman has been good for most of the season, but over his last nine innings he has given up four runs. The GIants bats scored seven runs on Friday, and they will find offensive success in this game. Back the over.
Play: Over
Houston Astros at Oakland Athletics
There are better games on the card to bet. With that said, the Astros do have a few advantages. Paul Blackburn gets the start for the A’s and in his last start he went four innings giving up six hits and four runs. The Astros are averaging 5.38 points per game and they will get the job done in this game.
Play: Astros ML
Seattle Mariners +130 at Los Angeles Angels -149 Total: 8.5
This is too good of a price for Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Angels. Coming into this game he sits with a 9-2 record and an ERA of 3.28. Marco Gonzales has been decent., but not lights out, and he will need to be in this game going against Ohtani. Back the Angels.
Play: Angels ML
Atlanta Braves at San Diego Padres
There have been no starting pitchers announced for this game.
Los Angeles Dodgers -278 at Arizona Diamondbacks +233 Total: 9
The Dodgers are huge favorites, but there really isn’t any other way to look at this game. Julio Urias gets the start for the Dodgers and he sits with an 18=3 record. I don’t trust them laying the 1.5 but they aren’t losing this game. Back the Dodgers.
Play: Dodgers -1.5
New York Yankees +108 at Boston Red Sox -118 Total: 10
The wrong team is favored in this game. Eduardo Rodriguez has been up and down this season and he hasn’t been going as deep in games. In his last start against the Yankees he went only an inning giving up a run. Back the Yankees on the money line.
Play: Yankees ML
