Tuesday is a loaded slate of MLB games which means plenty of free pick winners. Let’s take a look at a free MLB pick on each of the games.
Minnesota Twins +122 at Cleveland Indians -132 Total: 9.5
I don’t trust John Gant and even though he is coming off a start where he gave up only two runs in five innings, I think he will struggle in this game. Aaron Civale is coming off a start where he gave up zero runs. The Indians' offense will attack Gant early, and the Indians will come away with the victory.
Play: Indians ML
Detroit Tigers at Pittsburgh Pirates
The Tigers are the better team and even on the road, they should cruise to an easy victory. Wily Peralta gets the start for the Tigers and he has been good this season. Over Peralta’s last three starts he has given up eight runs total. The Pirates are averaging only 3.64 runs per game which is the worst in baseball.
Play: Tigers ML
Kansas City Royals at Baltimore Orioles
Both the Kansas City Royals and Baltimore Orioles are in the bottom third in baseball in terms of runs per game. Over the last three games though, the Royals are averaging 6.67 runs per game, and against an Orioles pitching staff that hasn’t been great, they will continue the offensive success. Back the Royals.
Play: Royals ML
New York Mets -154 at Miami Marlins +141 Total: 8
Every time it looks like the Mets are going to climb back into the playoff race, they have a devastating loss. On Monday the Mets gave up two runs in the bottom of the ninth to lose to the Nationals by a run. Carlos Carrasco has been decent this season, but I don’t trust the Mets bullpen and it will let them down again.Back the Marlins.
Play: Marlins ML +141
Toronto Blue Jays +165 at New York Yankees -185 Total: 8.5
The Toronto Blue Jays had no issues on Monday between the New York Yankees 8-0, but in this game, I expect the Jays offense will be worse. Gerrit Cole has been strong this season, and over his last 19 innings he has given up only one run. Steven Matz has also been strong this year sitting with an ERA of 3.80. I don’t see this game having more than five runs scored.
Tampa Bay Rays -102 at Boston Red Sox -107 Total: 9.5
The Boston Red Sox were up 7-1 after the second inning on Monday but gave up the game and ended up losing in extra innings. Now the Red Sox send Eduardo Rodriguez to the mound who has been inconsistent. The Rays will run it up against Rodriguez and come away with the victory.
Play: Rays ML -102
Washington Nationals +180 at Atlanta Braves -220 Total: 9
The Nationals have struggled most of the season, but the Braves haven’t been as dominant as of late winning only four of their last ten games. Even though the Braves haven’t been as lights out, they are the much better team in this game. Over Max Fried’s last three starts he has given up only six runs total. The Nationals bats will be cold, and the Braves will win on the run line.
Play: Braves -1.5
Philadelphia Phillies -115 at Milwaukee Brewers -105 Total: 8
The Phillies had no issues on Monday beating the Brewers and it was the pitching that was the difference. In this game. Aaron Nola is going to lock down the Brewers offense and Philadelphia will come away with the victory.
Play: Phillies ML
Cincinnati Reds -164 at Chicago Cubs +150 Total:
Wade Miley is coming off a terrible start but he is going to lock down the Cubs offense. Miley’s last start against the Cubs was a good one giving up only four hits and zero runs in seven innings pitched. The Reds will get to Adrian Sampson and they will win this game on the run line.
Play: Reds -1.5
Los Angeles Dodgers at St. Louis Cardinals
J.A. Happ was back to his terrible ways in the last game against the Cincinnati Reds going one inning giving up eight hits and seven runs. The Dodgers bats aren’t going to go easy on him, and the Dodgers will win this game in blowout fashion.
San Francisco Giants -180 at Colorado Rockies Total: 11.5
The Giants are going to win this game by a ton of runs. Chi Chi Gonzalez gets the start for the Rockies and he has been awful this year sitting with an ERA of 6.13. The GIants offense had no issues scoring Monday, and they will run up the score in this game.
Play: Giants -1.5
Seattle Mariners +150 at Houston Astros -169 Total: 8.5
This total is too high. Logan Gilbert is coming off a strong start but in the previous two starts he gave up 14 runs total. Jake Odorizzi has also been inconsistent, and the Mariners bats have been better as of late. Back the over.
Texas Rangers +138 at Arizona Diamondbacks -155 Total: 8.5
The Diamondbacks are the better team, but I can’t lay this type of number with them, especially with Zac Gallen on the mound. The Rangers scored seven runs on Sunday, and their offense will give Spencer Howard enough run support. Back the Rangers ML.
Play: Rangers ML
Chicago White Sox at Oakland Athletics
The Chicago White Sox haven’t been as dominant as of late and over the weekend they lost their series against the Kansas City Royals. James Kaprielian has been one of the best pitchers for the A’s and he sits with an ERA of 3.87. Look for the White Sox to struggle to score and the A’s will win this game on the money line.
Play: A’s ML
Los Angeles Angels at San Diego Padres
There have been no starting pitchers announced for this game.
