It’s not a full slate of MLB games on Monday, but there is still plenty of value across the board for free MLB picks. Let’s take a look at a free MLB pick on each of the games to make your night a winning one.
Minnesota Twins -125 at Detroit Tigers +110 Total: 9
The Detroit Tigers bats are ice cold scoring only seven runs total over the last four games. The runs aren’t going to be any easier against Bailey Ober. Over Ober’s last three starts he has gone 16.1 innings total giving up only three runs. The Tigers lack of scoring will lead to the Twins winning this game.
Play: Twins ML -125
St. Louis Cardinals +161 at Cincinnati Reds -181 Total: 9
This total is too high. Jon Lester has been pitching better since joining the Cardinals giving up only one run in two of his last three starts. Luis Castillo has also been strong giving up only three runs over his last two start.s Look for both starting pitchers to be good, and for the under to cash.
Philadelphia Phillies -186 at Washington Nationals +170 Total: 8
The Washington Nationals bats are going to be hot in this game. Zack Wheeler has ben awful as late giving up 13 runs over his last 14.2 innings. Too often this season. Wheeler has been left in games too long. Look for the Nationals to pull the upset.
Play: Nationals ML +170
Baltimore Orioles +240 at Toronto Blue Jays -291 Total: 9.5
The Toronto Blue Jays bats are cold right now. Over the last three games, the Blue Jays have scored only six runs total. Chris Ellis for the Orioles only has an ERA 3.86. Robbie Ray has also been strong, sitting with an ERA of 2.72. This game should be a 3-1 type of game and the under will cash.
Boston Red Sox +1!5 at Tampa Bay Rays -125 Total: 8.5
The Tampa Bay Rays are playing some of their best baseball of the season right now winning nine of their last ten games. All season the Rays offense has been strong averaging 5.30 runs per game. The Rays will get to Nick Pivetta and they will come away with the victory. I also like the Rays on the run line.
Play: Rays ML
Colorado Rockies -150 at Texas Rangers +140 Total: 8.5
A.J. Alexy is being called up for the Texas Rangers to make his MLB debut. Alexy has pitched 65 innings in the minor leagues this year and has an ERA of 1.66. It might be his major league debut, but Alexy has stuff that will play in the big leagues. On the road, the Rockies are averaging only 3.19 runs per game. Look for the Rockies bats to be cold, and for the Rangers to pull the upset.
Play: Rangers ML +140
New York Yankees at Los Angeles Angels
The New York Yankees will send Corey Kluber to the mound, his first appearance since May 25th. With Kluber working back from injury, I expect his start to be short. The Angels scored ten runs on Saturday in their last game, and they will find the offensive success in this game to get the job done.
Play: Angels ML
San Diego Padres -169 at Arizona Diamondbacks +150 Total: 9
The San Diego Padres really seem to be blowing their season winning only two of their last ten games. I don’t think this game is going to be the start of their turnaround. Tyler Gilbert has proven his no-hitter wasn’t a fluke and in his last game he went five innings giving up only two runs. The Diamondbacks will give Gilbert enough run support to pull the upset.
Play: Diamondbacks ML +150
Milwaukee Brewers -156 at San Francisco Giants +125 Total: 7.5
Vegas has gotten this line wrong. Johnny Cueto isn’t as good of a pitcher as he once was, but he gave up only one run in his last start. The MIlwaukee Brewers offense is inconsistent, but not often has this been a team to score seven or eight runs in a game. The Giants will give Cueto enough run support to win this game.
Play: Giants ML
Houston Astros -152 at Seattle Mariners +140 Total: 8.5
This total should really bet set at 7.5. Both Chris Flexen and Lis Garcia have been strong this season. Flexen sits with an ERA of 3.54 while Garcia sits with an ERA of 3.21. Both offenses will struggle and the under will cash.
Atlanta Braves +165 at Los Angeles Dodgers -180 Total: 9
The Dodgers and Braves have both been playing good baseball heading into this game. Julio Urias is on the mound for the Dodgers and over his last 10 innings pitched he has given up only three hits and zero runs. The Braves bats won’t be able to break through, and the Dodgers will win on the run line.
Play: Dodgers- 1.5
