Friday is a full slate of games across the MLB and that means there are plenty of winners that can make you money. Let’s take a look at a free pick on every MLB game to make you money.
Kansas City Royals -125 at Chicago Cubs +105
I don’t really have an interest in betting this game on the side because neither of these pitchers can really be trusted. I do however believe though, that both of these offenses are going to run up the score, and that is going to lead to this game going well over the total.
Minnesota Twins +185 at New York Yankees -213 Total: 10.5
Nestor Cortes Jr. had one bad start two games ago, but he got back on the right track in his last game going six innings giving up only one run. Look for the Yankees to give him plenty of run support against Charlie Barnes and this game is going to be a shootout. Back the Yankees -2.5.
Play: Yankees -2.5
Atlanta Braves -238 at Baltimore Orioles +200 Total: 10.5
For some reason, the Baltimore Orioles continue to send Keegan Akin to the mound, and he is going to be lit up in this game. This is a game where you can basically name your number with the Atlanta Braves and they should be able to cover it. Back the Braves -3.5.
Play: Braves -3.5
Detroit Tigers +195 at Toronto Blue Jays -233 Total: 9.5
Runs are going to be hard to come by in this game. Robbie Ray has been good this year and he sits with an ERA of 2.58. In two of Tyler Alexander’s last three starts he has given up two runs or less. I expect especially the Tigers to struggle to score in this game and that will lead to this game staying under the total.
Texas Rangers +255 at Boston Red Sox -315 Total: 9
This isn’t a game I would bet big, but there is a little value on the Texas Rangers to pull off the upset. Chris Sale only gave up two runs in his last start, but he did give up six hits, and the Rangers can get to him. Dane Dunning is going to have to be lights out, but the Rangers can pull off the upset.
Play: Rangers ML +255
Miami Marlins +265 at Cincinnati Reds -330 Total: 9
This line really makes zero sense. The Reds are the better team, but there could be an argument made that the Marlins have an advantage on the mound in this game. The Marlins are going to find some success against Sonny Gray and they will get the job done.
Play: Marlins ML
Los Angeles Angels -110 at Cleveland Indians -110 Total: 9.5
The Angels have to have some confidence heading into this game. The Angels were able to make a big comeback on Thursday against the Detroit Tigers to win the last two games. Look for the Angels to find success with their offense again in this game, and they will come away with the victory.
Play: Angels ML -110
Chicago White Sox -120 Tampa Bay Rays +100 Total: 9
The White Sox are going to get the job done in a low-scoring game. Michael Wacha is on the mound for the Rays and he has been a big disappointment this year. Lucas Giolto is going to make life tough on the offense for the Rays, and the White Sox will cruise. Back the White Sox on the run line.
Play: White Sox -1.5
Seattle Mariners +170 at Houston Astros -200 Total: 9
Runs are going to be hard to come by in this game. Yusei Kikuchi comes into this game with a 3.82 ERA and Lance McCullers Jr sits with an ERA of 3.22. In McCullers last start he went 5.2 innings giving up two runs. Back the under.
Washington Nationals at Milwaukee Brewers
The Nationals are really struggling coming into this game having lost seven of their last ten games, but this is a great chance for them to come away with a victory. In Brett Anderson’s last start against the Pirates he went 3.1 innings giving up eight hits and six runs. Look for the Brewers to not give Anderson enough run support and the Nationals will win this game.
Play: Nationals ML
Arizona Diamondbacks +140 at Colorado Rockies -160 Total: 12
Tyler Gilbert is coming off a no-hitter in his first MLB start, but I expect there to be a big regression in this game. Austin Gomber sits with a 9-7 record for the Rockies and he is going to be lights out in this game. Back the Rockies on the run line.
Play: Rockies -1.5
Pittsburgh Pirates +165 at St. Louis Cardinals -185 Total: 9
The Cardinals should really be closer to -220 or -240 in this game. The Pirates have only one win over their last ten games, and now they have to try to win a game with Mitch Keller on the mound. Keller currently sits with an ERA of 6.86 and the Cardinals are going to light him up. Back the Cardinals on the run line.
Play: Cardinals -1.5
New York Mets +170 at Los Angeles Dodgers -200 Total: 9
Carlos Carrasco isn’t the answer for the New York Mets. Over Carrasco’s last two starts he has gone three innings total giving up ten runs. The Dodgers offense is going to run up the score, and this game is going to get out of hand early. Back the Dodgers on the run line.
Play: Dodgers -1.5
San Francisco Giants -110 at Oakland Athletics -110 Total: 8.5
The Giants have been playing better baseball, but I think runs are going to be hard to come by in this game. Alex Wood has been a little more inconsistent as of late and that is something the A’s will take advantage of. There are better plays on the board, but the A’s are the play in this game.
Play: A’s ML
Philadelphia Phillies +167 at San Diego Padres -192 Total: 8.5
The Philadelphia Phillies are really struggling coming into this game having lost four games in a row. Blake Snell has been pitching really coming into this game having given up only three runs over his last three starts. The Phillies are going to struggle to score, and the Padres will win this game on the run line.
Play: Padres -1.5
