It’s a full slate of games across the MLB on Saturday and that means there are plenty of free MLB picks to go around. Let’s take a look at a free MLB pick on each of the games to make your Sunday a winning one.
Cincinnati Reds at Philadelphia Phillies
Runs are going to be very hard to come by for both teams in this game. Luis Castillo is coming off a bad start, but before that he was playing some pitching really well. In this game. For the Phillies to struggle to score, and this game is going to go well under the total. Back the under to cash.
Baltimore Orioles +235 at Boston Red Sox -278 Total: 10
All eyes are going to be on Chris Sale in this game as he has come back from injury to pitch in this game. Sale I think will find success but i don’t think he is going to go deep in this game. The Orioles are going to find success against the bullpen, and they will keep this game close. Back the Orioles +1.5
Play: Orioles +1.5
Atlanta Braves -179 at Washington Nationals +160 Total: 9
Max Fried gets the start for the Atlanta Braves, and over his last two starts he has given up only one run total. The Nationals are going to have no issue running up the score and the Braves will get the job done. Back the Braves on the run line.
Play: Braves -1.5
Cleveland Indians at Detroit Tigers
Runs are going to be hard to come by in this game. Wily Peralta gets the start for the Tigers and over his last three starts he has given up only three runs total. The TIgers offense is inconsistent, and that is going to lead to a low scoring game. Back the under.
Chicago Cubs at Miami Marlins
Zach Davies gets the start for the Chicago Cubs and I don’t trust him to find success in this game. The Marlins offense is going to run up the score against Davies early, and this game is going to get out of hand early. Back the Marlins on the run line.
Play: Marlins -1.5
Milwaukee Brewers at Pittsburgh Pirates
The Milwaukee Brewers have a huge pitching advantage in this game, and that is going to be the difference in this game. Look for the Brewers to get plenty of run support against Bryse Wilson, but they shouldn’t need all that much. Back the Brewers on the run line.
Play: Brewers -1.5
Oakland Athletics -185 at Texas Rangers +165 Total: 9
The Texas Rangers send Jordan Lyles to the mound, and he has been awful this year sitting with an ERA of 5.46. The A’s offense should have no issues running up the score against him, and this game will get out of hand early. Back the A’s -2.5.
Play: A’s -2.5
Tampa Bay Rays at Minnesota Twins
Kenta Maeda gets the start for the Minnesota Twins and he has been very inconsistent this season. In Maeda’s last start against the Houston Astros, he went five innings giving up six hits and three runs. This is a game where the Rays offense should find success, and they will win this game.
Play: Rays ML
Los Angeles Dodgers -175 at New York Mets +155 Total: 8.5
This is another game where the Dodgers are way too cheap. Taijuan Walker is on the mound for the Mets and he has been awful as of late. The Dodgers should run up the score with their offense and this game isn’t going to be close. Back the Dodgers -1.5
Play: Dodgers -1.5
St. Louis Cardinals -120 at Kansas City Royals +100 Total: 10
Both of these pitchers have been awful this year, and it’s not going to get any better in this game. Jon Lester sits with an ERA of 5.57 while Brad Keller sits with an ERA of 5.79. This game is going to be a shootout. Back the over.
San Diego Padres -233 at Arizona Diamondbacks +195 Total: 9
Joe Musgrove is pitching well again coming into this game, but I don’t think the Padres are going to give him a whole lot of run support in this game. Look for this game to stay well under the posted total. A 3-1 or 3-2 type of game seems about right.
New York Yankees +115 at Chicago White Sox -135 Total: 9
Runs are going to be hard to come by in this game. Both of these pitchers don’t have many shutouts, but they also do a good job of keeping their teams in games. I expect both starters to only give up one or two runs, and that will lead to this game staying under the total.
Houston Astros -161 at Los Angeles Angels +140 Total: 9.5
The Angels are going to pull the upset in this game. The Angels have actually been better over the last ten games, Luis Garcia has been good for the Astros, but so has Jamie Barria, and he is going to lock down the Astros. Back the Angels on the money line.
Play: Angels ML
Colorado Rockies at San Francisco Giants
Kyle Freeland struggled in his last start, but he has been one of the bright spots for this Rockies team this year. I expect the Giants are going to struggle to score in this game against Freeland and that will be the difference in this game. Back the Rockies on the money line.
Play: Rockies ML
Toronto Blue Jays -169 at Seattle Mariners +150 Total: 8.5
The Blue Jays offense is elite and they are going to run up the score again in this game against Yusei Kikuchi. Look for the Blue Jays to run up the score, the Mariners are going to have no answers, and the Blue Jays will win with ease. Back the Blue Jays -1.5.
Play: Blue Jays -1.5
