Wednesday is a full slate of games across the MLB and there is plenty of value across the road in terms of MLB picks. Let’s take a look at a free MLB pick on each of the games to make your Wednesday a winning one.
Chicago White Sox -175 at Minnesota Twins +155
The White Sox should really be closer to -230 or -240 in this game. Lance Lynn has been lights out this year, and he faces off with Bailey Ober who currently sits with an ERA near five. Look for the Twins to struggle to score in this game, and that will lead to the White Sox winning this game on the run line.
Play: White Sox -1.5
Colorado Rockies +215 at Houston Astros -256 Total: 9
The Colorado Rockies might not be the most popular play, but they are worth a shot in this game. Framber Valdez hasn’t been as dominant as of late, and in the last game he gave up six hits and four runs. Look for the Rockies to find success, and that will lead to Colorado pulling off the upset.
Play: Rockies ML +215
New York Yankees at Kansas City Royals
The Kansas City Royals send Brady Singer to the mound, and that is bad news for the Royals chances. In Singer’s last start against the Baltimore Orioles he went two innings giving up eight hits and seven runs. The Yankees are going to run up the score, and they will win this game on the run line.
Play: Yankees -1.5
Miami Marlins +165 at San Diego Padres -185 Total: 8.5
Sandy Alcantara hasn’t gotten good run support most of the season, and I don’t expect that is going to change in this game. I also don’t believe though that the Padres are going to find a whole lot of success against Alcantara and this game is going to be very low-scoring. Back the under.
Detroit Tigers -110 at Baltimore Orioles -110 Total: 10
Matt Harvey really struggled earlier in the season, but he is pitching a whole lot better as of late. Over Harvey’s last 16 innings pitched he has given up only two runs total. Look for the Harvey to slow down the TIgers offense, and the Orioles will get the job done.
Play: Orioles ML
Los Angeles Dodgers -135 at Philadelphia Phillies +115 Total: 9.5
The Phillies as underdogs are the play in this game. Kyle Gibson is going to get the job done in this game. Since joining the Phillies Kyle Gibson has been strong going 14.2 innings total giving up only three runs total. Look for the lack of scoring by the Dodgers to let them down, and the Phillies will win this game.
Play: Phillies ML
St. Louis Cardinals -169 at Pittsburgh Pirates +150 Total: 9
Adam Wainwright has made us plenty of money this year, and he is going to get the job done again in this game. The Pirates offense is awful, and they are going to really struggle to score in this game. Look for the Cardinals to win this game on the run line. It’s also a lean to the under to cash.
Play: Cardinals -1.5
Tampa Bay Rays at Boston Red Sox
The Tampa Bay Rays are going to win this game in blowout fashion. The Boston Red Sox has been getting hit hard as of late, and in this game it’s not going to get any better. In Nathan Eovaldi’s last two starts he has given up 13 runs total. Look for the Rays to win this game on the alternate run line.
Play: Rays -2.5
Oakland Athletics -125 at Cleveland Indians +115 Total: 9
This is a great chance for the Indians to pull the upset. Cal Quantrill has been strong for the Indians sitting with a 3.14 ERA. Frankie Montas has been inconsistent, and the Indians' offense is going to take advantage.
Play: Indians ML +115
Washington Nationals +165 at New York Mets -185 Total: 8.5
Rich Hill is coming off a good start in his last start, but overall for the Mets he has been a disappointment. Over the last ten games, the Mets have only two wins, and I am not willing to lay this type of number with them. The Nationals offense is going to find enough success against Rich Hill, to pull the upset.
Play: Nationals ML +165
Cincinnati Reds -110 at Atlanta Braves -110 Total: 9.5
Another player we have made plenty of money off of this season has been Wade Miley. Miley is coming off a start in his last game against the Pittsburgh Pirates he went seven innings giving up zero runs. MIley is facing a tougher offense in this game, but he is still going to lock down. Back the Reds ML
Play: Reds ML
Milwaukee Brewers at Chicago Cubs
The Cubs really look like they have quit on this season, and I don’t see them turning it around in this game. In Arrieta’s last against the Rockies he went four innings giving up nine hits and four runs. The Cubs are going to get hit hard in this game, and the Brewers will win this game on the run line.
Play: Brewers -1.5
Arizona Diamondbacks at San Francisco Giants
Kevin Gausman is coming off a good start against the Arizona Diamondbacks where he went six innings giving up five hits and one run. It’s hard to have back to back good starts against the same team, and the Diamondbacks are going to find success in this game. Back the Diamondbacks on the money line.
Play: Diamondbacks ML
Toronto Blue Jays -168 at Los Angeles Angels +154 Total: 9.5
The Blue Jays are the better offensive team, and they have a big advantage on the mound. Dylan Bundy gets the start for the Orioles and he has been awful this year sitting with a 6.14 ERA. Look for the Blue Jays to run up the score against him, and Toronto will come away with the victory on the run line.
Play: Blue Jays -1.5
Texas Rangers +170 at Seattle Mariners -189 Total: 8
There is going to be no shortage of scoring by either team in this game. Spencer Howard has been hit hard all season, and Tyler Anderson also hasn’t been great this year. These aren’t two great offenses, but this total is way too low. Back the over.
