Tuesday is a loaded slate in the MLB which means there is value across the board in terms of MLB picks. Let’s take a look at a free MLB pick on each of the games
Tampa Bay Rays at Washington Nationals
Rich Hill has been strong for the Tampa Bay Rays this year and he is going to have no issue getting the job done in this game. Look for the Nationals bats to be cold in this game, and the Rays are going to win this game on the run line.
Play: Rays -1.5
Los Angeles Angels +133 at New York Yankees -159 Total: 9.5
The ball is going to be flying out of Yankee Stadium on Tuesday, which means plenty of runs. Andrew Heaney has had his issues, and Jamison Taillon currently sits with an ERA over five. Look for plenty of scoring by both teams.
Miami Marlins -118 at Philadelphia Phillies +108 Total: 8
Trevor Rogers is on the mound for the Marlins, and at such a low price, they are too much of a value to pass up. Vince Velasquez has had some issues this season, and the Phillies offense at times haven’t given him enough run support. Look for the Phillies to finish with under three runs, and the Marlins to win on the money line.
Play: Marlins ML
Seattle Mariners +170 at Toronto Blue Jays -200 Total: 10
The Blue Jays scored plenty of runs over the weekend, but this total is too high. Chris Flexen gets the start for the Mariners and he comes into this game with a 6-3 record and an ERA of 3.87. There are going to be runs scored by both teams in this game, but it should finish closer to seven or eight. Back the under to cash.
Kansas City Royals +155 at Boston Red Sox -175 Total: 10.5
Brad Keller gets the start for the Royals which means the Boston Red Sox are going to have no issue running up the score. The Red Sox should score at least seven runs, and cruise to the easy victory. Back the Red Sox on the run line.
Play: Red Sox -1.5
Detroit Tigers +155 at Cleveland Indians -170 Total: 9,5
J.C. Meija was better in his last start but I still don’t trust him to have success on a consistent basis. Look for the Tigers offense to have one of their breakout games in this one, and that will be the difference as the Tigers cruise to a victory. The Tigers on the reverse run line laying a run and a half also makes a lot of sense.
Play: Tigers ML +155
San Diego Padres -155 at Cincinnati Reds +142 Total: 9.5
These are two teams heading in two different directions. The Padres have won nine of their last ten games while the Reds only have three wins during the same stretch. The Padres offense has been inconsistent, but they should have no issue teeing of on Tony Santillan. Back the Padres to win this game on the run line.
Play: Padres -1.5
New York Mets +148 at Atlanta Braves -155 Total: 8.5
The Mets offense has been an issue all season, and it’s not going to get any better in this game. Look for the Mets to struggle to score against Charlie Morton, and this game is going to get out of hand early. Back the Braves on the run line.
Play: Braves -1.5
Baltimore Orioles at Houston Astros
Runs are going to be very hard to come by in this game. The Orioles offense has been a big issue all season, and it’s not going to get any easier in this game. Look for the Astros to score, but not enough to push this over the total. Back the under to cash.
Minnesota Twins at Chicago White Sox
The Minnesota Twins and Chicago White Sox game for Monday was rained out, so this is the first game of the series. It appears that Bailey Ober is going to start in this game, and he is coming off a bad start against the Reds. Look for the Twins to not give Ober enough run support, and the White Sox will win this game with ease.
Play: White Sox -1.5
Chicago Cubs +170 at Milwaukee Brewers -205 Total: 7
The Brewers should really be -250 in this game. Zach Davies was a part of a no-hitter in the last game, but he has had some issues this season. Brandon Woodruff sits with an ERA of 1.89 and he is going to lock down the Cubs offense. Back the Brewers to win this game on the run line.
Play: Brewers -1.5
Arizona Diamondbacks +140 at St. Louis Cardinals -150 Total: 8.5
The Diamondbacks haven’t had much success the last month, but they are going to get the job done in this game. Carlos Martinez gets the start for the Cardinals and he has been awful this season. Look for the Diamondbacks to run up the score against Martinez and they will win this game on the money line.
Play: Diamondbacks ML +140
Pittsburgh Pirates +151 at Colorado Rockies -165 Total: 11
Runs were hard for both teams on Monday, with only two runs scored. German Marquez gets the start for the Rockies and he has been pitching well as of late. Over the last 14 innings, Marquez has given up only three hits and one run. The Rockies offense will be strong, but this total is too high. Back the under to cash.
Texas Rangers +160 at Oakland Athletics -175 Total: 8.5
There are plenty of better games on the board, but the A’s do have a little value. Mike Foltynewicz gets the start for the Texas Rangers, and he has had some real issues sitting with a 5.40 ERA. Look for the A’s to get to him early, and the A’s will win this game on the run line.
Play: Athletics -1.5
San Francisco Giants +137 at Los Angeles Dodgers -147 Total: 7
This game will be lucky to have three runs scored in it. Kevin Gausman gets the start for the San Francisco Giants and he sits with a 1.49. The Giants are also going to struggle to get it going against Walker Buehler. Back the under.
