It’s a full slate of games across the MLB on Saturday and there is plenty of value across the board in terms of MLB picks. Let’s take a look at a free MLB pick for each of the games.
San Francisco Giants at Washington Nationals Game 1
The San Francisco Giants and Washington Nationals face off in a doubleheader on Saturday and this is for Game 1. Kevin Gausman gets the start for the Giants and he is going to have no issue locking down in this game. Look for the Giants to win this game on the run line.
Play: Giants -1.5
New York Yankees -132 at Philadelphia Phillies +110 Total: 9.5
The New York Yankees still can’t be trusted and I expect the Phillies offense is going to find plenty of success in this game. This is going to be a competitive game, but I expect the Philllies offense will do enough to get the job done at plus money.
Play: Phillies ML +110
Kansas City Royals +124 at Oakland Athletics -149 Total: 8.5
The Royals are giving Jackson Kowar another shot and he was terrible in his first start of his career. Kowar went 2/3rds of an inning and he gave up four runs. The A’s offense is going to find success against him and win this game on the run line.
Play: Royals ML +124
Seattle Mariners at Cleveland Indians
The Cleveland Indians are the better team but I don’t expect their offense is going to find a whole lot of success in this game. The Mariners’ offense has also been inconsistent and this game is going to be very low scoring. Look for this game to go well under the total.
Play: Under
Pittsburgh Pirates +230 at Milwaukee Brewers -275 Total: 7.5
The Brewers send a good pitcher to the mound and the Pirates send someone who has had some real issues so far this season. Corbin Burnes sits with an ERA of 1.97 and he is going to lock down in this game against a Pirates offense that hasn’t been good. Back the Brewers on the run line.
Play: Brewers -1.5
Los Angeles Angels at Arizona Diamondbacks
The Arizona Diamondbacks knew there might be some struggles this season, but not many probably expected them to be this bad. Even though they have struggled, they can score, and this a perfect chance for Diamondbacks to find offensive success against Alex Cobb. Back the Diamondbacks on the money line.
Play: Diamondbacks ML
Baltimore Orioles at Tampa Bay Rays
Rich Hill has had a career resurgence with the Tampa Bay Rays currently sitting with a 5-2 record and an ERA of 3.05. Most of the Orioles pitching staff has been an issue and they are going to struggle to slow down the Rays offense. Back the Rays on the run line.
Play: Rays -1.5
Toronto Blue Jays at Boston Red Sox
These are two of the best offenses in all of baseball and there is going to be plenty of scoring by both teams in this game. Steven Matz has been inconsistent, and the Red Sox offense is going to take advantage. Nick Pivetta is going to get the start for the Red Sx and he currently sits with an ERA of 3.78 but he hasn’t been as dominant as of late. Back the over.
Play: Over
Colorado Rockies +115 at Cincinnati Reds -140 Total: 9
This is going to be a good old-fashioned pitchers duel. German Marquez is coming off one of his best starts of the season and Wade Miley has been lights out all season. In this game look for a low scoring game that stays under the total.
Play: Under
Atlanta Braves at Miami Marlins
The Miami Marlins were a playoff team last season, but if they want to accomplish that this season it’s going to take quite the run. The biggest issue for the Marlins has been their offense and they are going to have issues scoring in this game. Look for the Braves to get a good start from Max Fried who has pitched better since returning from injury, and the Braves will get the job done.
Play: Braves ML
Chicago Whtie Sox-175 at Detroit Tigers +145 Total: 9
The Chicago White Sox should be closer to -200 or -225 in this game. The White Sox send Dylan Cease to the mound and he currently sits with a 7-0 record and a 1.91 ERA career against the Tigers. He will lock down the Tigers offense and the White Sox will win this game on the run line.
Play: White Sox -1.5
San Diego Padres -130 at New York Mets +108 Total: 7.5
This total should be closer to the total of Friday’s game which was set at 5.5. Joe Musgrove sits with an ERA of 2.33 while Marcus Stroman sits with an ERA of 2.41. Look for both pitchers to lock down and go deep in this game and for the under to cash.
Play: Under
San Francisco Giants at Washington Nationals Game 2
The Washington Nationals and San Francisco Giants haven’t announced a starter for this game and with it being Game 2 of the doubleheader, this is something you should probably stay away from. The Giants are the better team and it’s a lean to them, but not something I would bet big.
Play: Giants ML
St. Louis Cardinals +147 at Chicago Cubs -160 Total:
The Chicago Cubs used a big comeback in the first game of this series, and I expect their offense success is going to have no issue running up the score in this game. Look for Rizzo to hit another home run and lead the Cubs to win this on the run line.
Play: Cubs -1.5
Houston Astros -117 at Minnesota Twins -103 Total: 9.5
Jose Berrios has been one of the only bright spots for this team this season and he is going to lock down in this game. Two starts ago against the Orioles he went eight innings giving up five hits and one run. Berrios is going to lock down and lead the Twins to a victory.
Play: Twins ML -103
Texas Rangers +266 at Los Angeles Angels -323 Total: 7.5
The home run ball has been an issue for Trevor Bauer and there is no way the Dodgers should be laying -323 in this game. The Rangers do have a few home run hitters and Texas is going to find a way to pull off the big upset.
Play: Rangers ML +266
