It’s a full slate of games across the MLB on Saturday with every team in action and there is plenty of value across the board in terms of free MLB picks. Let’s take a look at a free MLB pick for each of the games.
Detroit Tigers +200 at Chicago White Sox -220 Total: 8.5
This might not be exactly a pitcher’s duel, but runs are still going to be very hard to come by in this game, Tarik Skubal is coming off his best start against the Yankees going six innings giving up zero runs. For Lucas Giolito he is coming off a month of May where he had an ERA of 2.41. Look for very few runs with the under cashing.
Cincinnati Reds vs. St. Louis Cardinals
The Reds on the road are going to get the job done on Saturday. Tyler Mahle is coming off back to back good starts and the Cardinals offense has been inconsistent at best over the last five games. The Cardinals are going to struggle to score in this game, and that will lead to the Reds getting hte job done on the money line.
Play: Reds ML
Tampa Bay Rays -153 vs. Texas Rangers +123 Total: 8.5
This is a perfect opportunity to get some value with the Texas Rangers. Even though the Rangers only have one win in their last ten games, they get a good matchup against Rich HIll. Hill has been inconsistent this year, and the Rangers offense is going to get the job done in this game.
Play: Rangers ML +123
Houston Astros +102 at Toronto Blue Jays -107 Total: 9.5
The Astros as underdogs is tempting in this game, but the Toronto Blue Jays are the play in this one. Ross Stripling has pitched better as of late, and the Blue Jays are going to give him plenty of run support in this one. Back the Blue Jays on the money line.
Play: Blue Jays ML
Miami Marlins -158 at Pittsburgh Pirates +128 Total: 7,5
Neither of these teams can really be trusted all that much, but this is a game where laying the run and a half with the Marlins makes sense. Trevor Rogers has been the biggest bright spot for the Marlins and in 62.2 innings he has given up only 15 runs total. Back the Marlins on the run line.
PLay: Marlins -1.5
Cleveland Indians at Baltimore Orioles
The only real time to back the Orioles is when John Means is on the mound and he toes the rubber on Saturday. Means sits with a 4-1 record and an ERA of 2.05. There is better value across the board, but the Orioles are the play in this game.
Play: Orioles ML
Minnesota Twins -118 at Kansas City Royals +108 Total: 8.5
It doesn’t really matter who is on the mound for the Twins, they are struggling. Their bullpen also was used heavily on Friday night and the Royals are going to take advantage of that. Look for the Royals offense to find success and they will win this game as underdogs.
Play: Royals ML +108
Washington Nationals +110 at Philadelphia Phillies -130
Both of these teams have really struggled coming into this game. Spencer Howard has struggled the second and third time through the lineups and that is something the Nationals are going to take advantage of. Back the Nationals.
Play: Nationals ML +110
Los Angeles Dodgers -150 at Atlanta Braves +130 Total: 8.5
The Braves have own the last three games started by Charlie Morton and the Dodgers haven’t been as dominant the last few weeks and that is going to be the case again this game. It’s going to be a lower scoring game, but the offense will give him enough run suppor and that will lead to the Braves winning as underdogs.
Play: Braves ML
Arizona Diamondbacks -195 at Milwaukee Brewers -215 Total: 7.5
Runs are going to be very hard to come by in this game. Brandon Woodruff has been lights out this season sitting with a season ERA of 1.27. The Brewers offense has had issues all season and even though they have a nice matchup, they are going to struggle to score in this one. Back the under to cash.
Play: Under 7.5
Chicago Cubs at San Francisco Giants
This game is going to be one where there are very few runs scored. Kevin Guasman is in the running for the Cy Young, and Kohl Stewart gave up one unearned runs in his five innings in the first start. Both offenses are going to struggle and the under will cash.
Boston Red Sox +103 at New York Yankees -124 Total: 9
There is going to be no shortage of scoring by either team in this game. The Red Sox’s offense was strong on Friday, and now they get to face off with Jameson Taillon and he comes into this game with a 5.10 ERA. Eduardo Rodriguez comes into this game with a 5.64 ERA and the over is going to cash with ease.
Seattle Mariners +111 at Los Angeles Angels -133 Total: 8
The Seattle Mariners are 7-3 over their last ten games, and they are going to get the job done as underdogs in this game, The Angels actually have a losing record at home and their offense is going to struggle again in this game. Back the Mariners ML
Play: Mariners ML
Oakland Athletics at Colorado Rockies
This is going to be one of those classic Coors Field games where there is plenty of scoring by both teams. Irvin is going to get lit up an so is Freeland who has been pretty inconsistent so far this year. Look for both offenses to finish with at least seven runs, and this game is going to cruise over the total.
New York Mets -125 at San Diego Padres +100 Total: 5.5
Not often do you see a regular season game with the total sitting at 5.5 but even with a low total, the under is going to cash with ease. deGrom currently sits with a 0.71 ERA and Joe Musgrove sits with an ERA of 2.08, Neither team is going to find success scoring in this game. Back the under.
