There are 12 games scheduled in Major League Baseball on Wednesday, June 12th, 2021. There are plenty of great value spots on this card, so let's take a look at the odds and free betting picks for each MLB game.
Philadelphia Phillies -110 Cincinnati Reds -110 Total: 8.5
I liked what I saw from the Phillies' Spencer Howard in his last start against the Marlins and think he can lead the Phillies to a much-needed road win on Wednesday. The price is right, so I will take Philly here.
Pick: Philadelphia Phillies -110
Chicago White Sox -170 Cleveland Indians +145 Total: 8.5
The White Sox have struggled a bit with these Indians but I think Chicago grabs the road victory on Wednesday. The pitching matchup is too lopsided in favor of Chicago with the White Sox's Lance Lynn on the mound, and we already know what the Sox's bats can do.
Pick: Chicago White Sox -170
San Diego Padres -100 Chicago Cubs -120 Total: 7
Update: This game looks to be a trap from the bookmakers. The Padres opened as the favorites and are now the underdogs even with the public backing San Diego. I will take Chicago for that reason.
Pick: Chicago Cubs -120
New York Mets -115 Arizona Diamondbacks -105 Total: 8.5
I see short nights for both the Mets' David Peterson and the Diamondbacks' Madison Bumgarner. In the end, I trust the Mets' situational offense and strong bullpen more than I do the struggling D-Backs.
Pick: New York Mets -115
Minnesota Twins -145 Baltimore Orioles +125 Total: 9.5
We do not have a money line price in this one but the projected starters are the Twins' Randy Dobnak and the Orioles' Matt Harvey (check back for updates). I like the O's and the value they are more than likely going to get here. Minnesota has struggled to keep teams off the board all season, so why not take a shot with the birds.
Pick: Baltimore Orioles +125
Tampa Bay Rays +113 New York Yankees -133 Total: 8.5
The Rays and Yankees are more pitching-focused this season, which I believe will lend itself to a strong under in this contest. Two young lefties go at it and I think runs are hard to come by.
Pick: Under 8.5
Miami Marlins +130 Toronto Blue Jays -150 Total: 8.5
This should be another great pitching matchup between the Marlins' Pablo Lopez and the Blue Jays' prospect Alek Manoah. I think both starters show up in a big way and I like the under to hit in this one.
Pick: Under 8.5
Washington Nationals +140 Atlanta Braves -160 Total: 10
The Nationals have not announced a starting pitcher for this one yet, so be sure to check back soon for updates. I will lean with the Braves for now, as I trust their bats and bullpen just a tad more than I do Washington's. UPDATE: Jon Lester is the projected starter for the Washington Nationals. The pick remains the Atlanta Braves on the money line.
Pick: Atlanta Braves -160
Boston Red Sox +118 Houston Astros -138 Total: 9
The Red Sox have been fantastic away from Fenway Park but I do not trust Nick Pivetta in this spot. The Astros' Framber Valdez should be able to keep his team in this one for the bats to take care of the rest at Minute Maid Park.
Pick: Houston Astros -138
Texas Rangers +102 Colorado Rockies -122 Total: 10.5
Call me crazy, but I do not believe the Rockies should be a favorite for the rest of the season. The Rangers' bats have been quiet but I think it's Texas or pass based on value alone.
Pick: Texas Rangers +102
St. Louis Cardinals +195 Los Angeles Dodgers -230 Total: 8
The Cardinals were dealt a bad hand as Carlos Martinez of St. Louis has to take on the Dodgers' Walker Buehler. I think the Dodgers get to Martinez early, with the Cards having to play catch up for the rest of the game. I like LAD laying the run line.
Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5
Oakland Athletics -142 Seattle Mariners +122 Total: 8
I think the Mariners could be the underdog to watch out for on Wednesday night. Chris Flexen of the Mariners is 5-2 with a 4.34 ERA in a bounce-back year for him. I think he and the strong M's pen win this game in front of the home crowd.
Pick: Seattle Mariners +122
