It’s another loaded slate of games across the MLB on Wednesday and there is plenty of value across the board to make some money. Let’s breakdown each of the games and give a free pick.
Chicago White Sox +110 at Cincinnati Reds -130 Total: 8.5
Dallas Keuchel will get the start for the Chicago White Sox and in two of the last three starts he has given up two runs or less. In his last start against the Cleveland Indians though he went six innings giving up four hits and four runs. I expect in this game the Reds will get to him and come away with a victory.
Pick: Reds ML
San Francisco Giants -110 at Colorado Rockies -110 Total: 10
These two teams played a doubleheader on Tuesday and in the first game it was the GIants that were able to win 12-4. Jon Gray is coming off a start where he gave up five runs and he is going ot get lit up in this game. Look for both teams to finish with at least seven runs and for hte over to cash.
Play: Over 10
Baltimore Orioles +110 at Seattle Mariners -120 Total: 7.5
Yusei Kikuchi was impressive in his last start against the Astros but each of the two previous starts he gave up at least five runs. John Means has been impressive for the Orioles going 37 innings giving up only seven runs total. Look for the Orioles to find enough offensive success to come away with the victory.
Play: Orioles ML
Arizona Diamondbacks +130 at Miami Marlins -150 Total: 7.5
The Arizona DIamondbacks haven’t been talked about enough because this is a team that has found a whole lot of success so far this season. Luke Weaver though hasn’t been great for the Diamondbacks, and in the last start he went four innings giving up five hits and three runs. Look for the Marlins to find enough offensive success to come away with the victory.
Play: Marlins -1.5
Houston Astros -125 at New York Yankees -145 Total: 9
Jordan Montgomery will get the start for the Yankees and he has been good for three or four runs in most of his starts, and he really hasn’t gone all that deep in the games. I think Yankee Stadium will be too big for Luis Garcia and the Astros starter will get hit hard. Back the Astros on the over to cash.
Play: Over 9
Atlanta Braves -130 at Washington Nationals +110 Total: 8.5
The Nationals have been inconsistent this year, but their starting pitcher Erick Fredde has been quite impressive. Over his last three starts he has given up only four runs total and that starting pitcher is going to be the difference in this game. Back the Nationals as home underdogs to win this game.
Play; Nationals ML +110
Milwaukee Brewers -140 at Philadelphia Phillies +125 Total: 8.5
Chase Anderson has been a little inconsistent for the Phillies, but in his last start against the Mets he went five innings giving up one hit. I don’t trust the Brewers offense to get to Anderson, and I will take the value with the home underdog.
Play: Phillies ML
Detroit Tigers +165 at Boston Red Sox -185 Total: 9
The Tigers haven’t found a whole lot of success this season, but they have still won a handful of games and this is a perfect spot to take a chance with them. Martin Perez doesn’t really good deep in games and in two of his last three starts he has only gone 3.2 innings. The Tigers offense will get hot against him, and come away with the victory.
Play: Tigers ML
Texas Rangers vs Minnesota Twins
Hyeon-jong Yang will get the start for the Texas Rangers and he has been strong this season. He has gone 8.2 innings so far htis year giving up only four runs total. Even though the Twins offense has been good this season, they at times have been inconsistent and Yang is going to lock them down.
Play: Rangers ML
Los Angeles Dodgers -175 at Chicago Cubs +155
Walker Buehler is going to get the start for the Dodgers and in his last start he went 6.1 innings giving up seven hits and five runs. The Cubs won their first game of the doubleheader on Tuesday and their offense will get to Buehler in this game. Back the Cubs on the money line.
Play: Cubs ML
New York Mets+101 at St. Louis Cardinals -107 Total: 7.5
Kwang-hyun Kim doesn't go deep in many games, but he is still having a great year for the St. Louis Cardinals. Each of his last two starts he has gone at least five innings and given up only one run in each start. This Mets offense is one of the worst in baseball and they aren't going to get it done. Back the Cardinals
Play: Cardinals ML
Pittsburgh Pirates at San Diego Padres
The Pirates have been awful all season and the offense is going to have issues getting anything going in this game. Yu Darvish on the season has pitched 38 innings total giving up only nine runs total. Look for the Pirates to only finish with a run or two, and the Padres will win this game in blowout fashion. Back the Padres -1.5.
Play: Padres -1.5
Cleveland Indians -161 at Kansas City Royals +141 Total: 7
Shane Bieber is the best Indians pitcher and he is going to be lights out against a Royals team that suddenly seems to be struggling. On the season, Bieber has gone 42.1 innings total giving up 13 runs total. The Royals offense won’t get going, and the Indians will win this game on the money line.
Play: Indians ML
Tampa Bay Rays at Los Angeles Angels
Andrew Heaney is on the mound for the Angels nadh is going to be lit up early and often in this game. In his last start against the Mariners he went 4.1 innings giving up six hits and four runs. The Rays will have no issue running up the score and a couple of long balls will probably. Leave the ballpark. Back the Rays.
Play: Rays ML
Toronto Blue Jays +110 at Oakland Athletics -130 Total: 9.5
Robbie Ray has been good in each of his last two starts and the Oakland Athletics are going to struggle to score in this game. I also expect a strong outing from Chris Bassitt. It might not be an old fashioned pitchers duel, but runs are going to be hard to come by. Back the under.
Total: Under 8.5
