Plenty of MLB action to bet on Monday, April 26, 2021 with 11 games scheduled. Here are our free picks for each MLB game as well as the betting odds.

Kansas City Royal -111   Detroit Tigers +101 Total: 8.5

Detroit has been struggling from the plate with a league-worst .205 average, but will have Miguel Cabrera back for his second game returning from injury. The way Brad Keller has been pitching for Kansas City (12.00 ERA, 2.58 WHIP), the Tigers should be able to scratch a few across. Detroit’s starter Spencer Turnbell has lowered his ERA in each season and opened 2021 with a quality start at home. He has also fared well against this Royals lineup in the past, allowing a .218 average with 16 strikeouts in 86 at bats. The Tigers bullpen is a concern, but I still like them to find a way to win here.

Pick: Detroit Tigers +101

Minnesota Twins -115 Cleveland Indians +105 Total: 7

The Indians had a rough series against the Yankees, losing 3 of 4 at home. Berrios will start for the Twins and he has been solid on the road with a 0.82 ERA this season. Minnesota’s lineup has been slumping, but Plesac has allowed 6 runs in each of his last two starts. Give me the Twins to win.

Pick: Minnesota Twins -115

New York Yankees -177 Baltimore Orioles +162 Total: 9

The Yankees seem to have gotten back on track with 9 home runs during their series in Cleveland. The Orioles have been struggling from the plate, as they rank near the bottom in runs scored over the last two weeks. The Orioles Matt Harvey has held the Yankees to a .142 average in 63 career at bats, but his 5.12 ERA indicates he has not been the same pitcher this season. I like the Yankees to take this one.

Pick: New York Yankees -177

Chicago Cubs +157 Atlanta Braves -172 Total: 8.5

The Braves Charlie Morton and Zach Davies of the Cubs have both allowed over a .330 average in their career against these lineups. The bullpens will also be shorthanded on both sides, with multiple out due to injury. Zac Davies for the Cubs has allowed over 2 baserunners an inning this season, which is a recipe for disaster against a Braves team with the third-most home runs in the majors in 2021. I expect to see some scoring in this one; take the over.

Pick: Over 8.5

Oakland Athletics -115  Tampa Bay Rays +105 Total: 8.5

Oakland had their 13-game win streak snapped in Baltimore last time out and will look to bounce back here. The Rays Rich Hill has given up 4 runs in each of his starts in 2021. The A’s have done well against lefties this year, ranking 9th in average versus southpaws. Sean Manaea has gotten better with each start and will be backed by a bullpen that has the second-best ERA in the majors over the last two weeks. Back the A’s.

Pick: Oakland Athletics -115

Miami Marlins +165 Milwaukee Brewers -177 Total: 6.5

Fans of good pitching will be in for a treat in this one. The Marlins Trevor Rogers has a 1.64 ERA to start the season and tossed 7 shutout innings with 8 strikeouts in his last start. Corbin Burnes has been even better for the Brewers and has not given up a run since giving up just 1 in his first start of the season. The Brewers and Marlins have been able to rely on their bullpens of late, with both ranking in the top ten in WHIP over the last two weeks. These offenses rank in the top half of the majors in scoring over the last 15 days, but the pitching will be better here. Play the under.

Pick: Under 6.5

Philadelphia Phillies -105 St. Louis Cardinals -105 Total: 8

The Phillies Zack Wheeler has been getting less reliable with each start and will face a Cardinals lineup that has a 1.038 OPS against in 45 career at bats. The Phillies have also done well against Wainwright in the past with a .397 career average, but they have been mediocre with just over 3 runs per game on the road this season. The Cardinals bullpen has also been effective, ranking 4th in the majors with a .198 batting average against this season.  I will back the Cardinals at home.

Pick: St. Louis Cardinals -105

Los Angeles Angels -145 Texas Rangers +135 Total: 8.5

The Angels Shohei Ohtani has only allowed one earned run this season, but he has not made it out of the 5th inning in 2 starts. He will be supported by one of the league’s worst bullpens, with a 5.29 ERA and .274 average against in 2021. Texas’s bullpen has been just as bad (5.49 ERA, .282 BAA), and Jordan Lyles has given up three runs in each of his last three starts for the Rangers. The Angels Mike Trout has also taken Lyles deep twice in 15 career at bats. Take the over here.

Pick: Over 8.5

Seattle Mariners +162 Houston Astros -177 Total: 9

The Mariners have been good on the road with a 7-4 record but will face an Astros team that has returned to form with their big bats now back from COVID-related absences. Despite looking bad against Dylan Bundy on Sunday, Houston has scored over 6 runs per game in their last 5. The Astros’ Jose Urquidy went 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs with 7 strikeouts in his start at Seattle earlier in the season. A repeat performance at home will do the trick; I’ll take the Astros.

Pick: Houston Astros -177

Colorado Rockies +143  San Francisco Giants -153 Total: 7.5

The Rockies Austin Gomber and the Giants Anthony DeSclafani have owned these lineups in the past. The two lineups who have gone a combined 14-70 with 20 strikeouts against them all-time. The Giants bullpen has a 2.86 ERA over the last 7 days, and the Rockies have a 3.64 ERA over that stretch, so runs should come at a premium in this one. Back the under, which has cashed in nearly 2/3 of these teams’ games this season.

Pick: Under 7.5

Cincinnati Reds +152  Los Angeles Dodgers -172 Total:7.5

Despite losing 7 straight games, the Reds seem like a good value here. Although Urias is 3-0 to start the season for the Dodgers, he has allowed over a hit per inning and has a 5.40 ERA at home. On the other side, Tyler Mahle has been off to a great start for Cincinnati with a 0.84 WHIP and should be able to keep this potent Dodgers lineup at bay. I will take a chance on the Reds who are 3-1 as the dog this year.

Pick: Cincinnati Reds +152
