The Tampa Bay Rays and Houston Astros face off on Saturday in a winner take all Game 7 of their American League Championship Series.
After the Rays jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the series the Astros turned it around by winning three games in a row.
Game 6 the offense was impressive for the Astros but before that they were just squeaking by with wins, but that’s all that matters, a win is a win. Carlos Correa had struggled for much of the season for the Astros but in the playoffs he has really turned it on hitting six home runs and driving in 15 RBI’s. In this game it’s going to be about the offense having a big game and putting pressure on the Rays to have to try and keep up.
On the other side of this matchup is the Rays and there have to be some questions about where their minds are heading into this game. It looked like they had an easy path to the World Series, but now they have to win this game or they will go home. The offense hasn’t been great in the last three games and they need to find a way to string together some runs.
On the mound for the Astros will be Lance McCullers Jr who comes into this game with an 0-1 record and an ERA of 4.09 during the playoffs.
On the mound for the Rays will be Charlie Morton who comes into this game with a 2-0 record and an ERA of 0.90.
The under is 19-7-2 in the Astros last 28 games played on grass. The Rays are 7-1 in their last eight games played on Saturday. The under is 15-5- in the Rays last 20 playoff games. The under is 18-6-2 in the last 26 meetings played between the two teams.
Morton has looked really good during the playoffs and the Astros comeback dreams are going to fall a little short. The Rays will find just enough offense to come away with a victory. The under is also a strong play in this one.
