The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox face off on Sunday in a big time rivalry game at Fenway Park. The Yankees were able to win in extra innings on Friday and on Saturday they came away with an 8-0 victory.
The Yankees hit a big lull during the middle of the season but they have turned it around again and coming into this game they have won ten games in a row. The Yankees are finally getting healthy and that has led to the offense running up the score. On Saturday against the Red Sox the Yankees were led by Clint Frazier who put up three runs. In this game look for the Yankees to run up the score again if they want to win this game.
On the other side of this matchup is the Red Sox who have been terrible this season and the pitching staff has let them down each of the first two games of this series. The offense actually has been decent this season, but they really don’t have an ace to lean on, so to have success they usually need to run up the score.
Deivi Garcia will get the start for the Yankees and there is a lot of buzz about this young fighter. Garcia sits with a 2-1 record and an ERA of 3.28.
On the other side of this matchup is Tanner Hourk who will get the start for the Red Sox. He currently has pitched five innings so far this year and didn’t give up a run in those innings.
The Yankees are 9-0 in their last nine games at grass. The Yankees are 4-11 in their last 15 games played on the road. The over is 12-3-2 in the Red Sox last 17 home games. The Yankees are 22-5 in their last 27 games against the Red Sox. The over is 12-4-1 in the last 17 meetings between the two teams in Boston.
These games have been high scoring so far and it’s no reason it shouldn’t be different in this game. Look for both teams to run up the score in this game and for it go well over the posted total.
