The Kia TIgers and Samsung Lions face off in KBO baseball action on Friday morning in the United States. There will be limited fans in attendance for this game. In the first game of this series the Tigers won 12-2.
The Samsung Lions have had issues all season and they currently sit in 8th place in the standings. Overall the Lions have 49 wins, 58 losses, and two draws but coming into this game they have won three of the last five games. The offense has been playing better as of late, but their pitching has still be an issue. The Lions have had too many blowup innings this year and it happened again on Thursday. Min-ho Kang has been the best player for the Lions hitting 15 home runs and driving 42 RBI’s. Dong-yeop Kim has also been strong this season hitting 12 home runs and driving in 42 RBI’s.
On the other side of this matchup is the Kia Tigers who have 57 wins and 46 losses which puts them in second place in the KBO. The pitching staff has been good for the most part and on Thursday it was good again giving up only two runs. Preston Tucker has been the best offensive player for the Tigers hitting 28 home runs and driving in 88 RBI’s and in the last game he hit two home runs and driven in six RBI’s. Could Tucker be making a run at the MVP?
Drew Gagnon will get the start for the Kia Tigers and coming into this game he sits with a 9-5 record and an ERA of 4.23.
Ben Lively will get the start for the Samsung Lions and coming into this game he sits with a 4-7 record and an ERA of 4.37.
The Kia Tigers ran up the score in the first game and they will get the job done again in this game. Look for the Samsung Lions to have issues getting to Gagnon and that will lead to the Kia Tigers winning this game on the money line.
