The Samsung Lions and Lotte Giants face off in KBO baseball action on Thursday morning in the United States.
The Samsung Lions have also struggled this season sitting with 46 wins, 53 losses, and two draws which puts them in eighth place in the standings. Even though they have struggled, they have won three of the last four games. The offense struggled in the first game of this series, but the last few games the offense has been strong. The best offensive player for the Lions has been Min-ho Kang who comes into this game having hit 14 home runs and driving in 40 RBI’s.
On the other side of this matchup is the Lotte Giants who come into this game with 49 wins, 48 losses, and one draw. Coming into this game the Lotte Giants have won three of the last five games and during those three wins, they scored 28 runs total. In the two losses the pitching staff really struggled. Jun-woo Jeon has been the best player for the Giants and coming into this game he has 16 home runs and driven in 62 RBI’s.
Dae-woo Kim will get the start for the Samsung Lions and he comes into this game with a 3-5 record and an ERA of 3.53.
Dan Straily will get the start for the Lotte Giants and coming into this game he sits with a 10-4 record and an ERA of 2.48. Straily not only has been good this year, he has also gotten good run support.
The weather in this game is expected to be mostly cloudy with a slight wind blowing from 1st to 3rd base.
Straily has been lights out, but Kim has also been good in his own right. Look for both teams to struggle to score and this game will go under the total. In terms of the side it's a lean to the Giants on the run line.
