The Chicago White Sox and Pittsburgh Pirates meet Tuesday in MLB action at PNC Park.
The Chicago White Sox look for a win after winning six of their last eight games. The White Sox have scored 20 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in eight of their last 10 games. The White Sox have won six straight games when scoring four or more runs. Jose Abreu leads the White Sox with 53 hits and 40 RBI while Tim Anderson and Eloy Jimenez have combined for 89 hits and 45 RBI. Dylan Cease gets the ball, and he is 5-2 with a 3.29 ERA and 28 strikeouts this season. This will be Cease’s first career game against the Pirates.
The Pittsburgh Pirates look for a win after splitting their last six games. The Pirates have scored nine runs in their last three games and three or less runs in six of their last 12 games. The Pirates have lost six of their last eight games when scoring three or less runs. Adam Frazier leads the Pirates with 33 hits and 15 RBI while Erik Gonzalez and Kevin Newman have combined for 61 hits and 26 RBI. Joe Musgrove gets the ball, and he is 0-4 with a 6.62 ERA and 21 strikeouts this season. Musgrove is 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA and four strikeouts in his career against the White Sox.
Will update with trends once they're released.
Dylan Cease has allowed 11 eared runs and 28 hits in his last 38.2 innings while Joe Musgrove has allowed seven runs and nine hits in his last 6.1 innings. Musgrove is not a pitcher I'm looking to back to put it kindly, as he has a ERA over six on the season and is allowing a .269 batting average. Cease has had his issues on the road, but he's been far more consistent overall and has an offense behind him that doesn't stop producing. The Chicago White Sox remain one of the more consistent teams in baseball and a team you shouldn't be looking to step in front of often these days.
Give me the White Sox and the RL for max betting value.
