The Kia Tigers and Hanwha Eagles face off in KBO baseball action on Sunday morning in the United States. In the first game of this series it was the Kia Tigers who found success coming away with a 5-4 victory.
The Kia Tigers come into this game with 51 wins and 46 losses which puts them in seventh place of the KBO. Coming into this game the Tigers offense has been strong and that has led to them winning five of the last seven games. In the four wins the Tigers scored 33 runs total. The best offensive player for the Tigers has been Preston Tucker who has hit 24 home runs and driven in 72 RBI’s. Ji-wan Na has also been strong hitting 13 home runs and driving in 69 RBI’s.
The Hanwha Eagles have had all kinds of issues this season sitting with 27 wins, 70 losses, and one draw and coming into this game they have lost five of the last six games. This is an offense that has been an issue all season, but each of the last two games the offense has been a little better. Jin-haeng Choi has been one of the only bright spots for the Eagles sitting with seven wins and driving in 22 RBI’s. Ju-Suk Ha has also hit two home runs and driven in 26 RBI’s.
Aaron Brooks will get the start for the Kia Tigers and coming into this game he sits with an 8-4 record and an ERA of 2.68. Shi-hwan Jang will get the start for the Hanwha Eagles and he hasn’t gotten a whole lot of run support this year sitting with a 3-10 record and an ERA of 4.72.
There is a chance for rain during this game and a 7-8 mile per hour wind blowing from 3rd to 1st base.
Jang hasn’t gotten much run support this year and that will be the case again in this one. Look for the Kia Tigers to run up the score and win this game on the run line.
