The Line: -- Over/Under:
SK Wyverns and Samsung Lions face off in KBO baseball action on Wednesday morning in the United States. Like the other games so far this season, there will be no fans in attendance for this game. In he first game of this series the Samsung Lions came away with a 4-1 win.
SK Wyverns has really been struggling all season and coming into this game they have won 14 games while losing 34 games. Coming into this game, SK Wyverns has lost three games in a row and the offense was terrible during each of those games scoring only one run total. This is an offense that has been below average for the entire season, and to turn it around, they need to find a way to string some runs together.
SK Wyverns is led by Jeong Choi who has hit four home runs and driven in 23 RBI’s. Jamie Romack has also been good for SK Wyverns hitting eight home runs and driving in 29 RBI’s. Romack has also had 30 walks.
On the other side of this matchup is the Samsung Lions who currently sit one game above .500 and would like to have a little breathing room. Coming into this game, the Lions have won five of their last seven games, and in game one it was the pitching that was the difference.
On offense the Samsung Lions have had three different players hit five home runs, but no one has gone over that mark. Min-ho Kang has only had eight RBI’s, but he has hit five home runs. Ja-Wook Koo has hit five home runs and 17 RBI’s and Dong-yeop Kim has hit five home runs and driven in 21 RBI’s.
Seung-won Moon will get the start for SK Wyverns, while David Buchanan will get the start for the Samsung Lions. Moon currently sits with a 2-3 record and an ERA of 3.23 while Buchanan has a 5-3 record and an ERA of 4.53.
The weather in this game is expected to be mostly cloudy with a slight wind that shoudn’t have much of an impact on the game.
Buchanan has had a lot of run support so far this year and that should be no different in this game. Look for the Samsung Lions to run up the score and come away with an easy victory.
