The Line: -- Over/Under:
The Doosan Bears and Kiwoom Heroes face off in KBO baseball action on Wednesday morning in the United States. Like the other games so far this season, there will be no fans in attendance for this game. In the first game of this series the Kiwoom Heroes came away with an 11-2 wn.
The Doosan Bears have been one of the best teams in the KBO this year coming into this game-winning 28 games and losing only 20. Last week the Doosan Bears won three of their six games, but they only won one game against the Dinos in the last series, and now they have started out this series with a loss. Hui-kwan Yu, Gyo-hoon Lee, and Min-gyu Kim each gave up three runs in that game. In this one, the pitching staff is going to need to be a lot better.
On offense the Bears are led by Jae-Hwan Kim who has hit 11 home runs and 45 RBI’s. The only real issue for Kim has been his strikeouts doing so 58 times. Jose Miguel Fernandez has also been really good this year for the Bears. Coming into this game Fernandez has hit seven home runs and driven in 35 RBI’s.
The Kiwoom Heroes have also had a lot of success this season and coming into this game they have won 31 games and lost 18. Coming into this game the Heroes have won three games in a row. The Heroes for the most part this season have had a nice offense, and each of the last three games the pitching staff was strong. In the first game of this series, the offense was also elite putting up 11 runs.
The Heroes are led by Byung-ho Park who comes into this game having hit 11 home runs and driving in 31 RBI’s. Jung-hoo Lee has also been really good for this squad hitting seven home runs and driving in 33 RBI’s.
Young-ha Lee will get the start for the Doosan Bears, while Hyun-hee Han will get the start for the Kiwoom Heroes. Lee has a 1-4 record and an ERA of 6.29, while Han has a 3-2 record and an ERA of 4.38.
This game is indoors so there is no concern about the weather.
Lee has been rocked hard this season and there is no reason to believe it’s going to be different in this game. Look for the Heroes to get to him early and that will be enough to win their fourth game in a row.
