KBO Baseball: Friday, May 22, 2020 at 5:30 am
The Line: Hanwha Eagles +110 / NC Dinos -140 -- Over/Under: 9
The Hanwha Eagles and KT Wiz Suwon face off in KBO baseball action on Friday morning in the United States. Like the other games so far this season, there will be no fans in attendance for this game.
The Hanwha Eagles are coming off a win in their last game against KT Wiz Suwon, but overall this season they have struggled. Winning six games and losing nine. One of the big issues as of late has been the pitching staff. In each of their last two losses the Hanwha Eagles have given up an average of 9.5 runs. The offense has also only scored more than five runs twice in the last ten games.
Sung-yeol Lee has hit one home run and driven in eight RBI’s. Kwang-min Song has also hit two home runs and driven in four runs.
The NC Dinos are the best team in the KBO coming into this game with a 12-2 record. Over the last nine games, the Dinos have won eight games. In the last game the NC Dinos offense was elite putting up 12 runs. The offense has been good for the NC Dinos, but the pitching staff has been the real elite part of their squad.
On offense the Dinos hit plenty of home runs.Five players have hit at least two home runs so far this year. Sung-bum Na has hit four home runs and drive in eight RBI’s. Jin-sung Kang has also hit three home runs and nine RBI’s.
Warwick Saupold will be on the mound for the Hanwha Eagles, while Young-gyu Kim will get the start for the NC Dinos. Saupold currently sits with an ERA of 1.64, while Kim has an ERA of 3.27.
The weather in this game is expected to be clear, with 5-7 mile per hour winds driving in from left field.
The Dinos are the better team overall, but Saupold is on the mound for the Eagles and will be the x-factor in this game. Look for Saupold to have a big game, and that will be enough for the Hanwha Eagles to come away with a win.
