The Lotte Giants and the Kia Tigers face off in KBO baseball action on Wednesday morning in the United States. Like all the other games so far this season, there will be no fans in the attendance for this game. In the first game of this series the Kia Tigers came away with a 9-2 victory.
The Lotte Giants have won seven games so far this year, but they are struggling as of late losing four of their last five games. The only win during that stretch was a few games ago when the GIants held the Hanwha Eagles to only one run.
As of late, the Lotte Giants offense hasn’t been great and in the last game they only scored two runs total. The offense needs to get back to where they were at the beginning of the season. Dixon Machado has hit four home runs and 14 RBI’s, while Jun-woo Jeon has hit four home runs and eight RBI’s.
The Kia Tigers can move back to .500 with a win in this game. The TIgers have won two of the last three and overall have six wins. In the last two wins, the Kia Tigers have scored 22 runs total. Preston Tucker has been the star of the Tigers this season hitting five home runs and driving in 20 RBI’s so far this year.
Dan Straily will be on the mound for the Lotte Giants while Drew Gagnon will get the start for the Kia Tigers.
Straily currently sits with a 1-1 record and an ERA of 2.12. Drew Gagnon currently sits with an 0-2 record and an ERA of 6.10.
The weather in this game should be clear, with a light breeze blowing from third to first base. The wind should not have much of an impact.
Straily has been good for the Lotte Giants and he is going to lock down in this game. Look for the Kia Tigers to struggle to score and that will be enough for the Giants to come away with an easy victory. The run line for the Giants is also a good play.
