The Line: Samsung -122/Kia -104 -- Over/Under: Under 10

The Kia Tigers and Samsung Lions face off in their fifth game of the KBO baseball season early on Saturday morning.

The Samsung Lions knocked off the Kia Tigers 5-0 in their last game on Thursday morning in the first game of this series.

The Samsung Lions lost their first three games of the season so their first win of the season was the first game against the Kia Tigers. The biggest issue for the Samsung Lions this season has been with the offense. Overall this season they have scored only ten runs total, and in the three losses they scored only five runs total. Tyler Saladino is one of the only bright spots hitting one home run and driving in two runs.

On the other side of this matchup is the Kia Tigers who have also lost three of their first four games. Much, like the Samsung Lions, the Tigers offense hasn’t been great. In the three losses, the Kia Tigers are averaging only three runs per game.

In the last game against the Samsung Lions, the Tigers could only manage five hits and none crossed the plate.

On offense, Preston Tucker and Hyung-woo Choi have paced the offense. Tucker has hit one home run and driven in four, while Choi has one home run and three RBI’s. In this game to have success, the Lions might need to lean on a long ball or two.

Ki-young Im will be on the mound for the Kia Tigers while Tae-in Won will get the start for the Samsung Lions. It is possible there could be some rain for this game and a little light win, but the game should still go on as scheduled. The wind should not play much of a factor but if it did the wind is going to be blowing in a bit.

These are both teams who have struggled and there is no reason either offense is going to get going in this game. There is no play on the side that makes sense, but the under is a very strong play.

The pick in this article is the opinion of the writer, not a Pick Dawgz site consensus.
