The Line: Hanwha Eagles +140 / Kiwoom Heroes -180 -- Over/Under: 10
The Hanwha Eagles and Kiwoom Heroes face off in the 5th game of the KBO baseball season early on Saturday morning.
In the first game of this series it was the Kiwoom Heroes that came away with a 5-3 victory over the Hanwha Eagles.
The Kiwoom Heroes have looked really good to start the season winning three of their first four games. The offense for the Heroes actually hasn’t been that impressive for the most part, but the pitching has been really good. In the three wins the Heroes only gave up a total of seven runs.
On offense the Kiwoom Heroes Jung-hoo Lee and Byung-Ho Park. Park has hit two home runs and five RBI’s this season. Park is one of the best home run hitters in the KBO, and he could be an x-factor in this game for the Heroes.
The Hanwha Eagles have won two of their first four games and dating back to last season they have lost five of their last seven games. The offense hasn’t been running up the score, but in the two games the offense didn’t do enough. In the last game against the Heroes the offense could only muster three runs.
The Eagles aren’t a great power team so when they have success they need to manufacture runs. So far this season the Eagles have hit only two balls out of the ballpark. Kwang-Min Song leads the team with RBI’s currently sitting with three RBI’s.
Ee-Whan Kim is projected to be on the mound for the Hanwha Eagles while Hyun-lee Han will be on the mound for the Kiwoom Heroes. 10-12 mile per hour winds and light rain could have a slight impact on this game. It’s still expected the game will be played.
This is a pretty even matchup in terms of starting pitcher so it’s going to come down to which offense can have more success. The Kiwoom Heroes are playing better baseball to start and their offense is going to find success. Look for the Heroes to come away with a victory and cover the run line.
