The Doosan Bears and LG Twins face off in their third game of the KBO baseball season early on Thursday morning.
The Doosan Bears and LG Twins have played two games already in this series and have split the first two games.
After losing the first games of the season, the Bears got back on the right track in their last game knocking off the Twins 5-2. The offense has only scored seven runs total this year, but the pitching was the real difference in the second game. Young-ha Lee was the star of the show going 6 and 1/3rd inning giving up five hits and zero earned runs.
Joo-hwan Choi and Jae-hwan Kim both have already hit a home run this season for the Doosan Bears.
The LG Twins first two games have been completely different and the offense needs to get back on the right track in this one. In the first game of the season, the Twins put up eight runs, and a big reason was the play of Hyun-soo Kim. Kim had two hits, one home run, and three RBI’s. He is the only player in the first two games to hit a home run for the Twins. Kim also has four hits, and it appears he is going to be the focal point of the offense this year.
Chris Flexen is projected to be the starting pitcher for the Doosan Bears while Chan-Heon Jung will toe the rubber for the LG Twins. This will be the first appearance for both players for their team this regular season.
It’s expected to be cloudy for this game, but no rain so that shouldn’t have an impact on this game. The wind also isn’t expected to play a whole lot of a factor in this game.
Chris Flexen didn’t make it with the Mets, but he is still a strong pitcher that should have a very strong season with the Doosan Bears. The Twins offense struggled in the last game, and that will happen again in this one. Look for Flexen to have a good out, and that will be enough to lead the Doosan Bears to their second win of the season.
