The Line: NC Dinos -141, Samsung Lions +110 -- Over/Under: 9.5
The NC Dinos and Samsung Lions face off in their second game of the KBO Baseball season early on Wednesday morning.
The NC Dions looked good in their first game of the KBO season knocking off the Samsung Lions by a score of 4-0. The Dinos didn’t look to good to end last season losing four of their last five games, so getting off this season on the right foot was a good start.
In the first game of the season the NC Dinos had seven hits, four runs, and one error. The pitching was also strong giving up only three hits and zero runs. Chang-min Mo stole the show the first day of the KBO with his bat flip after a home run. He had three hits, two RBI’s and one run scored.
Drew Rucinski was the starting pitcher going six innings and giving up only three hits. Four pitchers split the last four innings giving up zero hits.
The Samsung Lions offense couldn’t get anything going and that led to the struggles. The only real bright spot for the Lions was Sang-Su Kim who had three walks in the game.
Jung-hyun Baek went six innings for the Lions giving up six hits and four earned runs. He gave up three home runs, and the longball could be an issue for him going forward. The last three innings of the games, the Lions only gave up only hit.
The NC Dinos have won the last three games played against the Samsung Lions and four of the last five games.
Mike Wright will be on the mound for the NC Dinos, while Ben Lively will be on the mound for the Samsung Lions. It’s expected to be clear for the game, but it is expected to be a bit windy with a sustained breeze of 10 MPH.
The NC Dinos had good pitching the first game of the season, and it’s going to happen again. Look for the Dinos to get good pitching, and even though their offense might not run up the score, they will do enough to win this game.
