The Line: KIA Tigers +110 / Samsung Lions -130 -- Over/Under: 9.5
The KIA Tigers and Samsung Lions face off early Wednesday morning in KBO baseball preseason action. This game is set to start at 1:00 AM Eastern time.
The KIA Tigers picked up their first win of the preseason in their last game. Dating back to last season they have won four of their last ten games.
Each of the last two games for the KIA Tigers was against the NC Dinos and the offense finally got going in the last game putting up eight runs. Designated hitter Choi Hyung-woo was the star of the show hitting one home run and driving in four runs.
Even though the offense was good, the pitching staff had some issues for the Tigers. Gagnon struggled giving up four earned runs in five innings of play.
The Samsung Lions had won three straight games heading into the last game where the pitching staff let them down. Over the last ten games, the Samsung Lions have won five games.
In the last game against the Lotte Giants, the Samsung Lions gave up 12 runs. Yoon Sung-hwan was the problem for Samsung going only three innings, giving up seven hits, and seven runs.
When the Samsung Lions had issues this season it’s been because of the pitching staff. The Lions still haven’t scored more than five runs in any of their four games. In the last game against the Giants, it was Yang Woo-hyun who paced the team putting up two hits and three RBI”s. The offense hasn’t been great for Samsung this season but for the most part the pitching has been able to make up for it.
The Samsung Lions have won four of the last five games over the KIA Tigers. In three of the five games at least nine runs have been scored.
Last game the pitching wasn’t good for Samsung, but for the most part it has been strong. Look for their pitching to get back on the right track in this game, and that will lead to a victory. The under is a strong play also.
