Now that we have established who the current top five golfers in overall scoring average are on the PGA Tour (in this week's field) let's shift our attention to my favorite prop bets for this week's 2024 Players Championship.

Here are three golfers to consider placing on your card to finish in the top 20.

Aaron Rai +280

Aaron Rai has accumulated two consecutive top 23 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a 19th place result at the 2024 Mexico Open at Vidanta three weeks ago. 

In relation to this week's current listed 2024 Players Championship field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Aaron Rai ranks 11th in GIR (greens in regulation), eighth in proximity to the hole, first in driving accuracy, and 14th in par three scoring.

Aaron Rai has posted a quality result at TPC Sawgrass previously. Rai finished 19th at the 2023 Players Championship. 

Byeong Hun An +280

Byeong Hun An arrives at this week's tournament on the heels of three consecutive top 21 finishes on the PGA Tour, including an eighth-place result at last week's 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational.

In relation to this week's current listed 2024 Players Championship field, in the last 24 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Byeong Hun An ranks second in birdie or better percentage, fifth in driving distance, and 12th in strokes gained tee to green.

Hun An also finished 26th at the 2019 Players Championship.   

Tom Hoge +260

Since the beginning of February, Tom Hoge has played five tournaments on the PGA Tour. In those five events just mentioned, Hoge has accumulated four top 17 finishes, including an eighth-place result at the 2024 Genesis Invitational last month. 

In my opinion, Tom Hoge's game fits the TPC Sawgrass course perfectly. I fully expect that Hoge will post a quality finish this week.
