This week, the DP World Tour presents golf bettors with the 2024 Jonsson Workwear Open.

Prior to discussing my best bets for this week's DP World Tour event let's take a quick look at the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I feel are the most vital to success at this week's 2024 Jonsson Workwear Open.

The 2024 Jonsson Workwear Open will be played at the Glendower Golf Club in Johannesburg, South Africa. The golf course is a par 72 that measures approximately 7,542 yards. This track is best described as a classical tree-lined golf course. The field will be presented with tight fairways that will require accuracy off the tee. It is also important for me to note that the Glendower Golf Club is over 4,900 feet above sea level. 

The key player statistics that I will be focusing on this week are driving distance, strokes gained tee to green, GIR (greens in regulation), birdies or better percentage, and bogey avoidance.

Now let's shift our focus to my best bets for the 2024 Jonsson Workwear Open.

Here are two golfers to consider placing on your card to finish in the top 20.

Gavin Green +250

Gavin Green arrives at this week's event in rather good form. Green has accumulated two consecutive top 12 finishes on the DP World Tour, including an 11th place result at the 2024 Magical Kenya Open two weeks ago.

Due to Green's outstanding play at the 2024 Magical Kenya Open I decided to take a hard look at the player statistics for the tournament to see how Green fared relative to the field. 

After the completion four rounds of competitive play at the 2024 Magical Kenya Open, in relation to the field, Gavin Green ranked eighth driving distance, first in strokes gained putting, and 12th strokes gained on par fours.

Additionally, Green finished sixth at the 2023 Jonsson Workwear Open.

Keenan Davidse +600

Last week, Keenan Davidse fired a final round 67 at the 2024 SDC Championship en route to an eventual 16th place finish.

Similar to Gavin Green, Davidse has played well at the Glendower Golf Club in the past. More specifically, Davidse finished 17th at the 2023 Jonsson Workwear Open.

I fully expect Davidse to continue his quality play in South Africa this week.
