This week, the PGA Tour travels to Orlando, Florida for the 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Before I dive into my best bets for this week's PGA Tour event let's take a quick look at the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I feel are the most vital to a golfer's success at this week's 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
The 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational will be played at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando, Florida. The golf course is a par 72 that measures approximately 7,466 yards. This track has rather large wide generous fairways and minimal rough. Additionally, the golf course will present this week's field with a large number of bunkers which are in play on nine of the 18 holes.
The key player statistics that I will be focusing on this week are GIR (greens in regulation), strokes gained tee to green, strokes gained around the green, and strokes gained putting.
Now let's turn our attention to my best bets for the 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Here are three golfers to consider placing on your card to finish in the top ten.
Jason Day +280
The talented Australian arrives at this week's tournament on the heels of two consecutive top nine finishes on the PGA Tour, including a sixth-place result at the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am four weeks ago.
In relation to this week's current listed 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Jason Day ranks 13th in driving distance, 14th in par four scoring, and third in strokes gained around the green.
Day has posted quality results at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge previously. Day finished tenth at the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Matt Fitzpatrick +280
The 2022 U.S. Open winner has accumulated two top 21 finishes in his last three tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a 15th place result at last week's 2024 Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches.
Byeong Hun An +400
The 32-year-old South Korean has accumulated four top 21 finishes in his last six events played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive second-place result at the 2024 Sentry in January.
In relation to this week's current listed 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Byeong Hun An ranks 11th in strokes gained off the tee, 14th in strokes gained approach, and fifth in strokes gained tee to green.
An also finished tenth at the 2019 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
