This Friday evening, the LPGA Tour presents golf bettors with the 2024 HSBC Women's World Championship.

The third round of the 2024 HSBC Women's World Championship will be played at the Sentosa Golf Club (Tanjong Course) in Sentosa Island, Singapore. The golf course is a par 72 that measures approximately 6,740 yards. 

Before I dive into my favorite third round matchup bets for the HSBC Women's World Championship let's take a look at the current top five golfers in overall scoring average on the LPGA Tour that are in this week's tournament field.

Top Five Golfers in Scoring Average

1. Hyo Joo Kim 67.75    

2. Lydia Ko 68.37

3. Yuka Saso 68.75

4. Sei Young Kim 69.87

5. Jenny Shin 69.00

Now that we have ascertained who the current top five golfers in overall scoring average are on the LPGA Tour (in this week's field) let's shift our attention to my favorite third round matchup bets for the 2024 HSBC Women's World Championship. 

Brooke Henderson +125 over Hyo Joo Kim and Sarah Schmelzel

Brooke Henderson arrives at this week's event on the heels of three consecutive top 16 finishes on the LPGA Tour, including a third-place result at the 2024 Tournament of Champions last month.

Since 2017, Henderson has played this week's LPGA Tour event five times. In those five tournaments just mentioned, Henderson has accumulated four top 15 finishes, including a sixth-place result at the 2022 HSBC Women's World Championship.

In summary, I am backing Brooke Henderson to defeat Hyo Joo Kim and Sarah Schmelzel at odds of +125.   

Madelene Sagstrom +230 over Celine Boutier and Ayaka Furue

Last week, Madelene Sagstrom fired a first round 67 at the 2024 Honda LPGA Thailand on her way to an eventual ninth place finish. 

Madelene Sagstrom is also playing solid golf from a statistical standpoint. Sagstrom is currently ranked sixth in driving distance (276.5 yards), seventh in total rounds under par (7), and 20th in putts per GIR (1.76) on the LPGA Tour.    

Similar to Henderson, Sagstrom has posted quality results at the Sentosa Golf Club previously. Sagstrom finished 11th at the 2021 HSBC Women's World Championship.
