DFS - NHL - FanDuel - Main Slate Lineup - 1/18/20
Saturday, January 18th, 2019 at 7:00 pm
Let’s take a look at today’s FanDuel NHL “Main Slate” lineup that features 8 games and starts at 7:00pm!
Kicking off our lineups tonight, we’re going to take a look at the Florida Panthers in their great match-up agianst the Detroit Red Wings.
Detroit was solid defensively last night against the Penguins, however, that has been a rarity this season as the Red Wings come into this game ranked dead last in the NHL in goals allowed/game (3.83) and PK% (72.6%).
Detroit is the by far the worst team in the NHL, as their 28 points (12-32-4) is dead last in the NHL by a wide margin and as their on a 2nd half of a back-to-back tonight, I expect the Red Wings to struggle tonight.
For the Panthers, we’re going with a 4-man stack as we’re going to pay up for both Aleksander Barkov & Jonathan Huberdeau and getting some great value with both Brett Connolly & Frank Vatrano who are part of the Panthers 2nd power-play unit.
We’re also going to get some heavy exposure to the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight in their home match-up against the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks come into this game ranked just 19th in goals allowed/game (3.10) and although have played well as of late, did allow the Maple Leafs to score 4 goals in their only match-up earlier in the season.
For the Maple Leafs, we’re paying up for an expensive 3-man stack of Auston Matthews, Mitchell Marner, and Tyson Barrie.
At our other defenseman spot, we’re getting some value with the Vegas Knights Nate Schmidt in his match-up agianst the Montreal Canadiens.
In net, we’re going with some great value with the Philadelphia Flyers Brian Elliott in his great match-up at home agianst the Los Angeles Kings. The Kings rank just 26th in goals scored/game on the road (2.37) while Philadelphia has been outstanding at home this season, posting a 15-4-4 record.
