Happy New Years!
Let’s take a look at today’s DraftKings NBA “Main Slate” lineup that features 4 games and starts at 6:00pm!
For our lineup tonight we’re going to lead off with some value plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves who will be without Jeff Teague, Andrew Wiggins, & Karl-Anthony Towns.
Minnesota comes into this game as 17.5-point underdogs so we should see plenty of minutes for a variety of their bench players tonight.
As of now, I’m going with a 3-man stack of Timberwolves in Shabazz Napier, Jarrett Culver, & Naz Reid (I’m only going with Reid if Noah Vonleh is out……as we probably won’t know this until after the slate starts, we still will be ok as we’ll plug in either McGee or Howard for the Lakers who have the late game).
We need to get some action the Orlando/Washington game and we’re doing so by going with the Wizards Jordan McRae and the Magic’s Jonathan Issac.
McRae is coming off a monster 55.0 DraftKings point performance against the Heat earlier this week and although Bradley Beal might be back in the lineup, I still think he sees 25-30 minutes and hits value.
Issac is one of the best defensive players in the league as he continues to pile up steals and blocks and as the Wizards play at one of the fastest paces in the league, I think this game environment favors Issac for a big night.
Rounding out our team, we’re going to focus on the POR/NY match-up.
For the Trail Blazers, we’re going to be going with Damien Lillard & Carmelo Anthony.
Lillard has been outstanding as of late, topping 50+ DraftKings points in each of his last three games and I think his hot shooting continues tonight a decent match-up against the New York Knicks.
Anthony has been struggling as of late, however, I think he is a great value play tonight as he’ll be back in New York and I expect him to bring a little extra to the floor tonight. Anthony has seen at 37 minutes in three of his last four games and I expect a big night from him tonight.
For the Knicks, we’re going with Julius Randle who has been incredible as of late, which included a monster 61.0 DraftKings point performance agianst the Wizards on Saturday. Portland has really struggled agianst PF’s on the season and I think that continues tonight.
