The USC Trojans and the Wisconsin Badgers will meet Saturday night in a Big Ten Conference matchup at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin. Let’s take a look at this matchup from a betting perspective.

USC Trojans Betting Preview

The USC Trojans enter Saturday night’s contest with a 6-1 overall record (4-1 home record, 2-1 mark on the road and a 3-1 record in Big Ten play). USC arrives at this contest in good form, winning the team’s last two games, including a 31-23 victory over the Penn State Nittany Lions earlier this month.

The USC offense has been one of the best units in the country this season. Let me be more specific. Through seven games played in the 2026 regular season, the Trojans are averaging a whopping 36.4 points per game (13th in FBS) while generating 462.4 total yards per contest. USC has accumulated 310.1 passing yards and 152.3 rushing yards per game.

Shifting our focus to the defensive side of the football, USC has allowed 25.1 points and 350.0 total yards per game. Examining the data more closely, the Trojans have been solid defending the run, surrendering only 111 rushing yards per contest.

Through seven games played in 2026, quarterback Jayden Maiava has tallied 2,045 passing yards, 18 passing touchdowns. Running back King Miller has amassed 595 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns, while wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt has accumulated 400 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns.

Wisconsin Badgers Betting Preview

The Wisconsin Badgers enter Saturday’s matchup with a 4-2 overall record (3-0 home record, 1-1 mark on the road and a 2-1 mark in Big Ten play). The Badgers have played competitive football recently, winning four of the team’s last five games.

The Wisconsin offense has been rather pedestrian this season. More specifically, the Badgers are averaging 27.5 points and 351.8 total yards per game, including 199.7 passing yards and 152.2 rushing yards per contest.

Defensively, Wisconsin has been outstanding. The Badgers are allowing only 16.7 points and 286.7 total yards per game this season. Examining the data just presented more closely, Wisconsin has been excellent against the pass, allowing only 171.2 passing yards per game, which ranks 20th nationally.

Quarterback Colton Joseph has compiled 1,198 passing yards, 10 passing touchdowns, 333 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns. Senior wide receiver Tyrell Henry has added 27 receptions, 343 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown, while running back Darrion Dupree has compiled 215 rushing yards.

Why the USC Trojans will win.

• Elite offensive production. The USC Trojans are averaging 36.4 points per game which ranks 13th in the country.

• Quarterback play. Jayden Maiava has amassed 2,045 passing yards and 18 passing touchdowns.

• Passing attack. The Trojans rank seventh nationally with 310.1 passing yards per game.

• Recent form. The USC Trojans arrive at this contest on the heels of a two-game winning streak.

Why the Wisconsin Badgers will win.

• Home-field advantage. The Badgers will play this game at Camp Randall Stadium.

• Defensive edge. Wisconsin is allowing only 16.7 points per game this season.

• Pass defense. The Badgers are surrendering only 171.2 passing yards per contest.

USC Trojans vs. Wisconsin Badgers Prediction

In my view, this matchup favors the USC Trojans. Why? The Trojans possess a significant edge at quarterback with Jayden Maiava, who has thrown for 2,045 yards and 18 touchdowns while leading one of the nation’s most explosive offenses. USC ranks seventh nationally in passing offense and 13th in scoring offense, averaging 36.4 points per game.

While Wisconsin has been excellent defensively, the Badgers have struggled offensively at times and are coming off a game against UCLA in which they managed only seven points and 214 total yards. USC’s offense is considerably more dynamic than anything Wisconsin has faced recently. With that said, I am backing the USC Trojans on the moneyline in this game.
