Oregon Ducks Betting Preview
There have been a few ups and downs for the Ducks this year amid a tricky schedule. Oregon started out with a win over Boise State then came a loss to Oklahoma State 39-31 on September 12. The Ducks beat Portland State and USC in the next two outings, then recorded another loss to UCLA. In five games that would give Oregon a 3-2 record overall.
In last weekend’s home matchup versus Nebraska, the Ducks were down 7-0 by the end of the first half. Oregon added a couple of field goals in the third to stay in it, and eventually powered out a tight 17-14 win as time expired. QB Dylan Raiola was 11-of-18 for 59 yards and a score while Dierre Hill had 14 carries for 67 yards in the winning effort for the Ducks.
Illinois Fighting Illini Betting Preview
Over on the Illinois side, they’ve been a mixed bag this season. The Illini started out on a 2-1 stretch with a loss to Duke sandwiched in between wins versus UAB and Southern Illinois. Since then Illinois is just 1-2. After consecutive losses to Ohio State and Purdue, the Illini took out Michigan State to even their record back up at 3-3 through six games this year.
Matched up against Michigan State back on October 10, the Illini were sitting pretty in the second quarter up 17-0 and held the lead into the fourth quarter when Michigan State tied it up. Illinois scored a TD in overtime and stopped the Spartans on a two-point conversion for a 38-37 win. QB Katin Houser was 20-of-29 for 194 yards, one TD and one pick.

Oregon vs Illinois Prediction
I’ll just stay with Oregon. The Ducks got a win over Nebraska last weekend but it wasn’t pretty. Oregon had just 15 first downs, 242 yards and 3-of-17 on third-down tries alongside a couple of turnovers. The Ducks defense gave up just 242 yards themselves though, with 14 first downs. Oregon has been in a couple of dogfights in the last two games but they should match up better here.
As for Illinois, they get credit for a gutsy road win over Michigan State in their last outing—even though the Illini gave away a late lead. In that one Illinois finished with 409 total yards, 25 first downs and just two penalties. On defense the team was a little generous on third downs (6-of-10) and gave up 342 yards total. Seeing as how Illinois was held below 20 points in both the Ohio State and Purdue games, I don’t see them keeping a cover pace here.
