BYU Cougars Betting Preview
Over on the BYU side, they’ve been doing quite well this year themselves. The Cougars demolished Utah Tech 63-7 in their opener ahead of a win over Arizona in game two. Next came a win over Colorado State, then another versus TCU. Following another win over Iowa State, BYU is currently sitting at a cool 5-0 on the season so far.
Matched up against Iowa State back on October 9, the Cougars bagged touchdowns in both the first and second quarters for a 14-3 halftime lead. Following another TD in the third quarter and a field goal in the fourth the Cougars ended up with a nice win 24-10. QB Bear Bachmeier was 22-of-30 for 329 yards and two touchdowns while also leading the rush on 109 yards.

I’ll stay with the Cougars but you could call it either way. BYU took care of a pretty decent Iowa State team without too much fuss int emir last outing despite a tepid 4-of-10 success rate on third downs. Defensively the Cougars held Iowa State to just 14 first downs and 2-of-13 on third-down tries alongside 200 total yards. BYU has held their opponents to 17 or fewer points in four of five games this year, and 10 or fewer in three of those.
As for Notre Dame, they blew right past Stanford last weekend by giving up just nine first downs, 2-of-11 on third downs and 202 total yards alongside three takeaways. The Irish gained 598 total yards with zero turnovers on offense. That gives the team 37 or more points in five of six games this year (27 in the other). They’ll be tough to hang with.
