Colorado State Rams Betting Preview
Colorado State started out the year looking good, taking out Wyoming and Southern Utah in their first two outings. The Rams would then hit a four-game losing streak versus BYU, UTSA, Oregon State and Texas State, however. Following a win over San Diego State, Colorado State is currently sitting at 3-4 overall on the season.
Last weekend versus San Diego State, the Rams scored two touchdowns in a wild first quarter, then added three more in the second. Colorado State was leading 35-24 at the break and kept the scoring going in an eventual nail-biter 56-49. QB Hauss Hejny was 24-of-31 for 333 yards, three scores and an interception during the winning effort, scoring twice on the ground as well.
Utah State Aggies Betting Preview
Over on the Utah State side, they’ve had a pretty rough year so far. The Aggies lost three straight games to kick things off, falling to Idaho State, Washington and Utah. It’s been a 2-2 run since then with wins over Troy and Washington State mixed among losses to Boise State and Texas State. Utah State is 2-5 in the record books with that effort.
Matched up against Texas State last weekend, the Aggies were able to muster a trio of field goals in the first half and entered the locker room with a slim lead 9-7. Utah State gave up a TD in the third quarter and a couple of field goals in the fourth for a tough loss 20-17. QB Grady Brosterhous was 21-of-36 for 206 yards in the losing effort.

Colorado State vs Utah State Prediction
I’ll stick with the Rams but there’s not a lot to get excited about in this one. Colorado State is coming off a wild shootout win over San Diego State, posting 26 first downs, 549 yards and an excellent 9-of-12 success rate on third downs. The defense gave up 565 yards on the other side along with 25 first downs and 8-of-13 on thirds. The Rams are giving up points by the truckload these days: at least 41 in five straight games (a 1-4 run).
As for Utah State, they held Texas State to just 250 total yards in their latest loss but weren’t great on third downs (10-of-18). On offense the Aggies went just 4-of-14 on third downs with 285 total yards gained. Utah State isn’t scoring well this year at all; they’ve been at 21 points or below in every game.
