The Boston College Eagles and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will meet Saturday afternoon in an ACC matchup at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. Let’s take a look at this matchup from a betting perspective.

Boston College Eagles Betting Preview

The Boston College Eagles enter Saturday’s matchup with a 3-3 overall record (3-1 record at home, 0-2 mark on the road, 1-2 mark in ACC play). The Eagles arrive at this contest in decent form, winning three of the team’s last five games, including a thrilling 27-21 defeat of the Pittsburgh Panthers 27-21 last week.

The Boston College offense has struggled to consistently generate points this season. Through six games played in 2026, the Eagles are averaging only 20.3 points per game while producing 355.0 total yards per contest. Boston College has accumulated 210.3 passing yards and 144.7 rushing yards per game this season.

Shifting our focus to the defensive side of the football, Boston College has performed well. The Eagles are allowing only 23 points and 328.8 total yards per game. Examining the data just presented more closely, Boston College has been effective defending the pass, allowing only 169.3 passing yards per game this season, which ranks 18th nationally.

Through six games played in 2026, quarterback Mason McKenzie has compiled 1,262 passing yards, seven passing touchdowns, 444 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns illustrating his ability as a passer and running the football. Sophomore wide receiver Javarius Green has emerged as one of Boston College’s top offensive weapons, accumulating 23 receptions, 229 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Betting Preview

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets enter Saturday’s contest with a 2-4 overall record (2-2 record at home, 0-2 mark on the road and a 1-2 record in ACC play). The Yellow Jackets have struggled recently, dropping four of the team’s last five games, including a 34-24 loss to the Virginia Tech Hokies last week.

The Georgia Tech offense has displayed flashes of potential this season. The Yellow Jackets are averaging 26.7 points and 381.8 total yards per game, including 254.7 passing yards per contest.

Unfortunately, the defensive side of the football has been problematic. Georgia Tech is allowing 27.2 points and 392.2 total yards per game. The Yellow Jackets have also struggled stopping the run, surrendering 179 rushing yards per contest.

Quarterback Alberto Mendoza has compiled 1,528 passing yards, nine passing touchdowns and four interceptions. Running back Justice Haynes has added 462 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns, while wide receiver Jordan Allen has accumulated 432 receiving yards on 38 receptions.

Why the Boston College Eagles will win.

• Defensive advantage. Boston College is allowing only 328.8 total yards per game this season.

• Pass defense. The Eagles are allowing opponents just 169.3 passing yards per game.

• Quarterback play. Mason McKenzie has compiled 1,262 passing yards, seven passing touchdowns, 444 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.

• Recent form. Last week, the Eagles defeated the Pittsburgh Panthers 27-21.

Why the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will win.

• Home field advantage. The Yellow Jackets will play this game at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

• Quarterback play. Alberto Mendoza has thrown for 1,528 yards and nine touchdowns this season.

• Offensive production. Georgia Tech is averaging 26.7 points per game, compared to Boston College’s 20.3 points per game.

Boston College vs. Georgia Tech Prediction

In my view, this matchup favors the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Why? Georgia Tech has been the more explosive offensive team this season, averaging 26.7 points and 381.8 total yards per game. Additionally, quarterback Alberto Mendoza has been productive, compiling 1,528 passing yards, nine touchdown passes and a 71.2 completion percentage.

It is also noteworthy that the Yellow Jackets are coming off a strong offensive performance against Virginia Tech. Alberto Mendoza threw for 335 yards and two touchdowns, while Jordan Allen hauled in 10 receptions for 120 receiving yards. With Georgia Tech playing at home and possessing the more dynamic passing attack, I believe the Yellow Jackets are in a favorable position to get the win in this one. With that said, I am backing the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets to cover the 2.5 points in this game.

Hans Geevers's Pick: Georgia Tech -2.5
