The Air Force Falcons and the Wyoming Cowboys will meet Friday night in a Mountain West Conference matchup at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie, Wyoming. Let’s take a look at this matchup from a betting perspective.

Air Force Falcons Betting Preview

The Air Force Falcons enter Friday night’s contest with a 5-1 overall record (3-1 mark at home, 2-0 mark on the road and 3-1 record in Mountain West play). Air Force arrives at this matchup playing quality football, winning four consecutive games, including victories over Nevada, Navy, Northern Illinois and UNLV Rebels.

The Air Force offense has been productive this season. Through six games played in 2026, the Falcons are averaging 30.8 points per game while generating 408.0 total yards per contest. As expected, the rushing attack has been the focal point of the team’s offense, as Air Force is averaging a massive 343 rushing yards per game which ranks first in the country.

Shifting our focus to the defensive side of the football, Air Force has performed at a high level. The Falcons are allowing only 19.7 points and 295.7 total yards per game. Examining the data more closely, Air Force has surrendered just 172.3 passing yards per contest this season.

Through six games played in the 2026 regular season, quarterback Liam Szarka has compiled 296 passing yards, one passing touchdown, 391 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns, demonstrating his dual threat ability. Senior running back Rocco Conti has also been a key contributor in the Falcons rushing attack, amassing 318 rushing yards and two receiving touchdowns. Talented tight end Simon Kibbee has tallied seven receptions and 121 receiving yards.

Wyoming Cowboys Betting Preview

The Wyoming Cowboys enter Friday night’s matchup with a 4-3 overall record (3-0 home record, 1-3 mark on the road and a 3-1 record in Mountain West play). The Cowboys have won three of their last four games, including victories over Hawaii, San Jose State and the Northern Illinois Huskies.

The Wyoming offense has struggled to consistently produce points this season. The Cowboys are averaging only 18.3 points per game (110th in FBS) while generating 333.1 total yards per contest. Wyoming has accumulated 146.4 passing yards and 186.7 rushing yards per game this season.

Defensively, Wyoming has been solid. The Cowboys are allowing 20.9 points and 366.4 total yards per game.

Quarterback Tyler Hughes has compiled 1,018 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, 459 rushing yards and five receiving touchdowns. Senior running back Markell Holman has tallied 402 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns, while sophomore tight end Kyle Frendt has amassed 11 receptions and 216 receiving yards.

Why the Air Force Falcons will win.

 • Elite rushing offense. The Air Force Falcons are averaging a whopping 343 rushing yards per game which ranks first in the nation.

• Third-down success. Air Force ranks 10th in the country in third down conversion percentage (52.9%).

Why the Wyoming Cowboys will win.

• Dual threat quarterback. Tyler Hughes has accumulated 470 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns this season.

Air Force Falcons vs. Wyoming Cowboys Prediction

In my view, this matchup favors the Air Force Falcons. Why? Air Force has clear advantages in rushing offense and total defense. The Falcons rank first nationally in rushing offense, amassing 343 rushing yards per game. Additionally, Air Force arrives at this contest in outstanding overall form, winning the team’s last four games. The Falcons ability to consistently sustain drives and control the clock should put significant pressure on a Wyoming offense that has struggled to generate points throughout the season. With that said, I am backing the Air Force Falcons on the moneyline in this game.
