Tre Carroll was the leading team scorer with his 21 points and six rebounds. Filip Borovicanin added 16 points with six boards and four assists in the win.
UConn Huskies Betting Preview
Over on the UConn side, they lost in their fifth game of the year versus Arizona on November 19, then hit a nice win streak. Victories over Bryant, Illinois, Kansas, East Texas A&M, Florida, Texas, Butler, DePaul, Xavier, Marquette, Providence, DePaul, Seton Hall, Georgetown, Villanova, Providence and Creighton came in succession after that. The result over the first 22 games was a nice 21-1 overall record.
In the Creighton matchup on Saturday the Huskies exited the first half with a very comfortable 41-30 edge. UConn kept it up in the second half, rolling to a 44-28 finish and an 85-58 victory on the road in the end. Braylon Mullins was tops with 16 points and three rebounds while both Alex Karaban and Silas Demary each notched 15 points and a half-dozen rebounds in the winning effort.

I’ll lean toward UConn. The Huskies are on a great stretch of play these days and demolished a pretty decent Creighton team on the road in their last outing. In that one UConn shot a stellar 54.1 percent from the field and 51.6 percent from outside, adding a 33-21 rebounding edge. The only real complaint was the 3-of-7 (42.9 percent) from the line. That makes 17 straight victories for UConn, with a combined 172 points across their last pair of outings.
These teams last met up back on New Year’s Eve. UConn controlled that one well in an eventual road victory 90-67. The Huskies shot 53.2 percent from the field in that one with a 40-25 rebounding edge but did commit 13 turnovers. With a little more ball control, this home rematch should be another blowout finish.
