Wyoming Cowboys Betting Preview

The Cowboys have been looking pretty good so far this year, with only one blemish on the schedule. Wyoming opened with a four-game win streak, taking out Northern State, Cal State Fullerton, Austin Peay and Portland in that quartet. After a loss to Sam Houston on November 19, the Cowboys have since won consecutive games. Those victories have come versus Norfolk State and Denver, giving Wyoming a 6-1 record overall this season.

In the Denver game on Wednesday, the Cowboys jumped out to a 37-21 edge by halftime. Wyoming hit a 64-32 run the rest of the way and took the victory in the end 101-59. Leading the team in scoring was Leland Walker with 16 points, four assists and three rebounds. Khaden Bennett put up 14 points with seven boards, and Nasir Meyer had 14 points, five rebounds and four assists in 26 minutes of work on the floor during the win for the Cowboys.

Texas Tech Red Raiders Betting Preview

Over on the Texas Tech side, they’ve got a couple of losses on the card so far—both coming to highly-ranked teams. The Raiders kicked things off with wins over Lindenwood and Sam Houston, then fell by four to Illinois. Texas Tech then beat Milwaukee and Wake Forest ahead of a loss to Purdue in blowout fashion. The Raiders’ latest outing was a blowout victory over New Orleans however, giving the team a 5-2 record thus far in the season.

Matched up against New Orleans on Wednesday, the Red Raiders went into the second half with a 41-34 edge. Texas Tech didn’t let up after that, hitting a nice 41-16 advantage during a blowout win 82-50. Christian Anderson led the scoring on 23 points with five assists and JT Toppin doubled up on 19 points and 16 boards. Luke Bamgboye had 13 points with five rebounds and four assists while Donovan Atwell chipped in 13 points as well.

Wyoming vs Texas Tech Prediction

I’ll take a stab on Wyoming here. The Cowboys didn’t have any issues with an overmatched Denver team in their last game, hitting 56.1 percent from the field, 45.5 percent (10-of-22) from outside and 70.8 percent (17-of-24) from the line. Wyoming had a 43-30 rebounding edge and a 52-32 advantage on points in the paint alongside just nine turnovers as well. The Cowboys have hit at least 70 points in every game so far this year, but they’ve given up a couple of big-scoring performances as well. They’ll need to be careful on Sunday.

As for Texas Tech, they asserted themselves pretty well versus New Orleans this past week. The Raiders shot just 15-of-25 (60 percent) from the line but had a 40-26 rebounding edge and held the Privateers to just 37 percent shooting on the other side. Texas Tech has been dominant in their wins so far this year, hitting 80 or more points in each of them.
