The William & Mary Tribe and the Duquesne Dukes meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Palumbo Center. Here’s a William & Mary vs Duquesne prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best William & Mary vs Duquesne pick. We will examine the recent form and player performances for both teams, as well as the recent betting trends and streaks pertaining to this matchup. As we conclude, we will tie it all together with a summary that produces a sensible pick for a favorable betting outcome in this game.

William & Mary Tribe Betting Preview

The Tribe started out the season on a .500 clip across their first four games. The opening pair were wins over Georgian Court and Norfolk State, then came losses to Richmond and Saint John’s. William & Mary would hit a win streak after that though, taking out Bowling Green, Regent, UTEP and Abilene Christian in the next four outings. That would give the Tribe a solid 6-2 run across their first eight games of the season.

In their Sunday matchup with Old Dominion, the Tribe were up comfortably 39-29 by the break. William & Mary hit 49 more points in the second half, leading to an 88-75 win in the end. Tunde Fasasi led the team with 25 points, six rebounds and three assists. Kilian Brockhoff chipped in with 21 points, eight rebounds and five assists, while Jo’el Emanuel had 16 points, three rebounds and two assists in the winning effort.

Duquesne Dukes Betting Preview

Over on the Dukes’ side, they opened the year with a brief winning streak. Duquesne beat Niagara, Sacred Heart and Queens U in their first trio ahead of a loss to Villanova. Since then it’s been a 2-1 run for the Dukes. In that time Duquesne has a loss to Northeastern sandwiched in between a pair of victories versus Loyola Maryland and Central State OH. In total over seven outings that gives the Dukes a 5-2 record thus far in the season.

Last Wednesday in their matchup with Central State OH, the Dukes were up by eight points at the break. Duquesne closed on a 57-44 run and took the fairly easy win 101-80 in the end. Topping the team in scoring was Jimmie Williams with 20 points, three assists and two boards. Cam Crawford added 17 points, and Maximus Edwards had 14 points with four rebounds and three assists in the winning effort for the Dukes.

William & Mary vs Duquesne Prediction

I’ll likely stick with Duquesne. The Dukes didn’t have too many issues with Central State OH in their latest outing, shooting a cool 64.4 percent from the field and 52.6 percent (10-of-19) from outside. Duquesne was good up front with a 30-23 rebounding edge and a 54-34 advantage on points in the paint. The 15 turnovers were just about the only thing to complain about in the win. The Dukes are scoring great this year so far; they’ve hit 77 or more points in all seven games.

As for William & Mary, they had a good game versus Old Dominion over the weekend. The Tribe hit 50 percent from the field and 83.3 percent (25-of-30) from outside along with a 37-22 rebounding advantage. Over the last five games (all wins), William & Mary is scoring great; they’ve got 74 or more points in all five of those, with 82 or more in four of them. If the Tribe can keep it going Tuesday, they’ll give Duquesne some problems.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Duquesne Dukes -6.5
