Bradley’s defense isn’t as strong as in years past, but the offense has been a difference-maker. Bradley is averaging 78.2 points, while their defense is giving up 69.3 points per game. In this game, Bradley is going to need to get the offense out to a fast start to put the pressure on. Duke Deen has been the top player, averaging 14.1 points while shooting 41.3 percent from the field and 41.1 percent from behind the three-point line.

• Bradley has won nine of its last 10 games against Valparaiso.

Can Valpo Shock the World?

Not many gave Valparaiso much of a shot against Northern Iowa (including me), but they were able to pull out the one-point victory. At halftime, the Beacons were up 45-32, and in the second half, they held on for the win. All Wright had quite the game putting up 29 points, three rebounds, and two assists. Two games ago against UIC, in the tournament, they scored 67 points and they ended up winning by 17 points. 

Valparaiso sits with a 15-18 record overall, but that doesn’t matter now. They are only a couple more wins away from being in the NCAA tournament. The Beacons like to push the pace, but the defense has been a major problem also. They are averaging 75.3 points while their defense is giving up 74.4 points per game. If they want a chance here, the defense is going to need to be a whole lot better. Cooper Schwieger has been the top player, averaging 15.6 points while shooting 50 percent from the field. 

Valparaiso vs Bradley Prediction 

At some point, the Cinderella run has to end for Valparaiso, and that is going to happen in this game. The Beacon’s defense has been a major problem all season, giving up 74.4 points per game, and they are going to struggle again here. Bradley is averaging 78.2 points per game and they are going to end up making a statement. Bradley is going to get close to the 85-point mark, and Valpo isn’t going to get even close to keeping up.
